Hopefully there wont be another boom, you cant have a boom without a bust, so who wants a boom? A functioning country would do nicely.

We'll just call it Stephen. Stephen is the disease and the cure, it's all Stephens fault, but Stephen fixed it for us. I hate Stephen for what he did to this country, but I love Stephen for how he made us great.

Thank you Stephen, but **** you.

It won't have a name. The UK's boom didn't have a name, nor did the US'. The emergence of China as the leader of manufacturing hasn't attracted a nice soundbite.

A tiger economy is usually where a backwards country suddenly experiences high growth and starts to look more like a real country.

Hopefully in a few years we will see the return of growth at a sustainable level.

    The celtic Leprechaun perhaps.

All I think of when I think of the Celtic tiger, is people dishing out money, without a notion that maybe, just maybe, that their wallets weren't a neverending money supply. Back then, the "money doesn't grow on trees" seemed to be heard as "money does grow on trees, spend!!"

For the most part I don't think the celtic tiger was all that great.

There will never be another major upturn in our lives.
The next Celtic Tiger is due in about fifty years time.
This recession will last years - we all all f**ked.
