i was three. It was my birthday, I think. I had a Trike, and was playing with it outside the house. It was a new trike and my sister was watching. I went over the kerb and broke it ( cheap!) and I felt sad and also a bit guilty ( since I roke a new thing). Then my mother appeared in the doorway and said something comforting. Not sure what happened next.

Mine is probably, when myself and next door neighbour,both about 5,climbed on to his shed(typical council ones from 80's). He was looking over the edge and fell....Never saw someone get sick like he did.He was okay after a few days in hospital!

This is a bit off topic, but my mum said when my brother was very young he was forever talking to some woman in the corner of his room, and standing up and saying 'look at the lady!'. My granny passed away only a short while before he was born. Nothing so exciting with me.

Sitting on the floor in our sitting room (on one of those late-70s style plastic mats with spiky bits on one side) trying to push over this clown toy I had. It was one of those with a broad circular base that you pushed and it wobbled and played music but was impossible to knock over properly. I couldn't understand why it wouldn't fall :mad:

My Mum feeding my younger brother rusks in his high chair and laughing at him cos he was guzzlin' it up. Waving the arms and all if she slowed down! He was the cutest greediest baby ever.

Mine was falling with a glass milk bottle at my grans place, I cut my hands, think I was about 3/4 or so.

I used to rampage through my granduncles house, looking for the key to his closet.
He catalogued The Irish Times daily. And when I found it. I would tear them out, scrunch them up and toss them all in the air. Dancing with excitment and laughing wholeheartedly.

He died when I was two....I didn't do it.

Sitting in one of those €2-a-go helicopter rides you'd find outside a shopping centre that rocks back and forth. Just before it started my dad told me to make sure I wave when im up there (pointed up to a building about 4 or 5 storeys high) so he could get a good photo. I got out straight away, shitting myself.. I think I was about maybe 15 at the time.

I also picked up a 'balloon' on a pier and couldn't understand why an old lady gave out to me for it and made me drop it on the ground. Apparently I was about to blow it up!

One morning being lying in my cot. My father came in to saw goodbye (off to work)..the sun was shining in my eyes. I was less than 22 mts old anyway.

I also remember being in the hospital visiting my mother when my sister was born in Sept 1980. I was just short of my 2nd birthday.

I like this, with its elements of destruction and rampaging. I don't have a memory like it, I wish I did.

My earliest memory is having a car door slam on my hand, and trying to catch my breath enough to give it the screaming it deserved. I was about a year and a half, I was told.

I remember when I was very young and lived in a pub. I woke up one morning and the place was silent as a grave. For whatever reason, or whatever movie I had been watching the night before, I got it into my head that I was probably dead and now a spirit walking the Earth. For some reason.

I wasn't panicked or scared but it wasn't more than a half an hour before I realised that I wasn't dead after all. I think I must've ran into one of my parents or someone working in the pub or something. I don't remember. I only remember the odd "Hmm, am I dead?" feeling. It wasn't altogether unpleasent.

Tbh I've never had a lot of childhood memories. I never even realised that this was odd until much later on, hearing people talking about things they remember doing when they were four or five or so.

I think mine was looking out the window of a creche at my mum heading to work. Would have been 2-ish.

It's weird though, I can remember nursery quite well, from when I was about 3-4. I can remember talking pretty perfectly (for a kid with a speaking disorder), but a friend's younger brother who is 3ish can barely get a sentence out, and definitly not understandably. I don't know if I'm a genius or my friends brother is retarded.
