Dell crisps - I think they used to come in a green packet. Haven't seen them in years. Not to be confused with the computers.

Old Granny - I remember having a bag of crisps as a kid called "Old Granny" with a picture of a granny in a rocking chair on the front. Maybe they were only sold in Donegal...:)

Tayto or someone used to do some weird pop-corn style snack that was heavily sugared and was pink and yellow in the packet.

    Anyone remember these or others...

    Ahhhh memories...

More salt apparently, made you thirstier, and as a result drink more, or so the theory goes...

Oh , I know they made you thirsty , which is why my order was always a packet of crisps and a glass of water.
    Tap water.
And when I finished both of those I would order my Pint of Carlsberg and an empty half pint glass.
It was cheaper that way, just pour from the pint glass into the smaller one.

I miss "Worcestershire" (spelling?) flavoured crisps.

Walked into a shop on my way home from school yesterday. Lo' and behold, they had Bikers!

Not necessarily crisps, but I remember having popcorn that was green and pink. Candy popcorn or something?

I remember a little red packet with a granny on the front but it was white sherbert with a toffee lolly in it. I remember the sweet popcorn yuck! I hated it. There's a good thread on old crisps at the moment on the All things retro forum.

I think, though not fully sure, that the candy popcorn was from King.

Can't remember the colour but that must be them, glad to put a name on them, I thought they were only sold in Letterkenny or something since I never saw them elsewhere.

Haven't seen Perri crisps in a while, are they still around? The cheese and onion flavour was one of the best around.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,301 ✭✭✭artvandulet

Slightly off topic but did you know that Pringles are not crisps at all?
