Its low in fat, low in carbs and quite high in protein! Its excellent to take before bed since it is prodominently a Caesin protein. Some people have said they don't like the taste of it, i personally love it.

As for the taste, mix an activia Kiwi yoghurt into it and add some BCAA's and it's top dollar. ;)

The normal one is too bland for me, garlic & herb is nice though.

No mate, I cleaned them out. :D I love the stuff and in terms of a source of protein it kicks arse.

Where do you all buy it? Was in the english market in cork yesterday and didn't find it. Is it in tescos, and where abouts? Near the milk and other dairy products I suppose. Must have a look next time.

All i could come up with was this: http://www.annecollins.com/cholesterol/cholesterol-cheese.htm. It seems to be the lowest out of all the cheeses

I find cottage cheese tastes or has a texture more like frumpy yoghurt than an actual cheese itself. Im a nut-job for dairy anyway so it doesnt bother me that much :D

Yoplait is grand....but it is twice the price of Lidls.
Tescos own brand and Aldis are disgusting.
Marks and spensers do a gorgeous creamy pineapple cottage cheese.

Sometimes Polish food stores do a nice onion and chive cottage cheese.

An educational song about cottage cheese:

Sorry, don't mean to act the eejit!

It does have quite a yougurt-y flavour to it, the plain one anyway. Texture is hard to get past but it hasn't even got enough of a taste for it to taste bad.

In my tesco it is with the cheeses, alongside philidelphia type stuff.

I have been read about the cottage cheese thing for a while now. My question is how much protein should you take on after a workout or training. A 200gram tub of cottage cheese has about 27grams of protein. How much should you be looking to eat.
