Just got this set in argos, reduced from €21.89 to €14.59.

Can't go wrong. I just wanted another chinup bar to make parallel bars. This was only €2.60 more. I already have pushup bars and they are great, some might see them as gimmicks, but they are easier on the wrist, also you can grip them tightly which I find gives me more power. Also you can get a far better ROM since you can have your chest going below your hands. I will give these to my mate, but you could possibly make some gymnastic rings from them they have square cutouts in them for bolts, which rope could go into, then they could be put on adjustable webbing and onto the chinning bar.

I never do situps but it is an interesting device, I am sure I will come up with some alternative uses for it, possibly a ham glute device. It clamps to the bottom of a door, but could clamp to the top too, then if you jammed something underneath the door you could do close grip chinups on it, seems strong, could be brought on holidays.

The chinup bar is better than the other york one they sold, which I have. This is because it screws out from both ends, meaning it is symmetrical, while the work on screws on one side so if you do wide arm work you have to hold one thick and one thin bar. It also has foam grips. The screw on sockets on the wall for this and the other york bar are the exact same size, which is handy for me.

Skipping rope looks OK too, has foam handles and it the rope is not fixed, it can rotate in the handle.

EDIT: there is a new argos catalogue out BTW, and this set is €29.79 in it, lots of stuff seems to have gone up in price. Standard plates are €2/kg minimum, so better go with irishlifting whose are tri-grips.
