    Very expensive too isn't it?

You can get scales in Argos though I don't know if they go up to 200kg and over.

Nothing in argos goes anywhere near that weight, and that scales on ebay only goes to about 180Kg :(

In theory if you got 2 scales the same, and made a platform between them and stood on gently then you would double up the readout for the true value. Dunno how well it would work. The platform could just be wood, you would want to stand in the middle so both dials read the same.

Argos have a 30day cash back thing, so you could get 2 and try it out, on a light person first.

Probably not essential that you stand right in the middle, just get the sum of the the readings on both scales. Seems a little roudaboutish, but then again whatever works. Could try just putting one foot on each scale?

Probably, would have to get my old physics book out!, scales are usually meant to be loaded direct down. some cheapo ones give different readings if you stand on edges etc. If you are not central both might end up tilted.

That is what I would do first to check the theory. But if a 200kg man puts one foot on a 150kg scale first, then it could damage the spring mechanism or digital load cell before his weight is evenly distributed on the other.

I use a Tanita. It's the same brand that the Motivation Weight loss clinics use. Mine is just not that advanced. I got it from http://www.scalesexpress.com/
You can type a search for capacity 200 kilo. They are more expensive but their customer service is excellent.
