Just to clarify iGod = Steve Jobs :D

Just want to see who here is an Applemaniac or as I like to them a uSheep

i.e. You buy iPods, iMacs, iPhone e.t.c.

I have to admit I do somewhat love things made by Apple for the Style and Simplicity.

I own nothing made by Apple. Had a Hackintosh a while back, but it just didn't work. Their stuff is overpriced and not nearly as good as a lot of other products out there.

I own an i-pod for pretty much the same reasons I own a Nokia phone...they are easy to use.

If they call the guy that runs Nokia the No-God I will worship at his alter.

I just changed from PC to mac and I love it! I love the hype and discussions that go with it and all the cheesy commercialism that makes me feel that I am superior now!!:D I've had and i-pod for years but I've no intention of spending my money on an i-phone.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,160 ✭✭✭✭banshee_bones

yeah me too for the simplicity and ease of ipod's but just dont get me started on itunes ...grrrrr

wouldnt get an iphone, think the touchscreen thing would just drive me crazy!!

also cant justify buying a macbook considering how much more memory and ram and all that stuff you get for the same price with a regular notebook

Got a touch recently, so now I'm rightly labeled a prat every time I have to take it out to move to the next song.

But I have to admit, other than that, I really like it.

I think a lot of people have problems trying to get music onto their Ipod, And them same annoying people come to me for help, I prefer the drag and drop technique.

I use my phone as my MP3 player, it means i don't have two things in my pocket to worry about loosing, 4GB card and a decent battery which is grand, I would never buy an Ipod.

I gave up on Vista a long time ago, truly awful, and installed kubuntu. Very nice but takes effort to get running on a laptop. Laptop was due an upgrade so got a macbook pro. Have to say I am impressed with it!

I was just about to post that. One of the lads in the office thought it was a bad idea. He also told me that he heard that the word gullible is not in the dictionary.

Lets not forget the simple upgrade path.

I have had an ipod for a couple of years now and its great. I wouldn't bother with an iphone since its almost become outdated with the current phones being released. I despise the Mac though, I think maddox said it best -

But in honesty yeah I love my apple products. I have to laugh at people who say that apple products are too expensive compared to equivalents. Thats like saying you can't justify buying a Merc because you can get a Ford with the same power engine.

Sure I could buy a plastic Dell thats going to fall apart on my in a year (I've owned several Dell's, HP's and other PC's and they are all plastic time bombs) or I can buy a Macbook thats got a solid aluminium body and will last me years. I have a Dell sitting in front of me thats barely 2 years old and is falling apart, and beside it is a 5 year old Apple iBook that is going like a trooper and capable of doing most things as well if not better than the pc.

In short, I LOVE YOU STEVE!!! P.S. WILL YOU MARRY ME AND MAKE YOUR iGodess

Speaking as someone who has owned an iBook for four years (sold it last week), I can safely say that I would willingly switch completely over to Mac (for my desktop computer) if it were not for the fact that Mac gaming is very much in its infancy.

My iBook worked flawlessly over those four years. Nothing, and I mean nothing, ever went wrong. I can't say that for any other computer I've ever owned.

I do wish that Apple would enter the netbook market. I need a lightweight portable computer for web browsing and basic college tasks. The Macbook Air would be absolutely ideal, but at €1700 it's waaaaay out of my price range. My newly-purchased Samsung NC10 is a lovely machine, but I'd far rather it had OSX. :(

I love Apple and their products. I do think they're worth it over the competition for design and simplicity. But I don't think I could say I worship them...

I wouldn't buy an apple product. Mainly because they're just overpriced.

I have a gheyPod which I bought hesitantly. My Creative Zen V:M pooped itself and I couldn't find anything else with the space I needed other than the gheyPod.

Wouldn't buy another Apple product though, at least until my iPod breaks. :pac:
