    Thought this might be a better forum than a financial one.

    Do you know if you can claim tax credits on expenses paid for physio?

    Yes, but only if you have a referal from your doctor.

    afaik all medical expenses can be claimed back through prsi, you'll get more detailed answers on the revenue website though.

    yes you can claim it back but only at your rate of tax ie if you pay tax at 40% you can claim back 40 % of your physio expenses, if you only pay tax at 20% you can claim 20% of your expenses AFAIK

    Since 1/1/2009 you can only claim back tax on medical expenses at the standard rate - not 40%.

    sounds good, but all from a referal from a doctor yes?

    i could get an get refered, but pointless really, paying out another €55 to claim back a bit more!

    Since 1/1/2009 you can only claim back tax on medical expenses at the standard rate - not 40%.

    But for previous years you can still claim at the higher rate, it's only effective from now onwards.
