Gym w/ Swimming Pool in Cork City (ideally by Kinsale Roundabout)

    Hi all,
I'm new to the Cork area and looking for a gym/health club, ideally that is not too far from the Kinsale roundabout in Cork city. I'm living close to the South Link & Douglas and would ideally like to have access to a swimming pool, gym, instructor-led-classes.

    Any recommendations???

Also, the least expensive the better so if you have any price indications that would be fantastic

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hey,

I used to use LeisureWorld in Bishopstown, right beside CIT. Its a really good gym and has 2 pools, sauna, and steam room. The staff in there are really nice and approachable, and are happy to help out. Theres a good vibe in the gym in general, and doesnt get too crowded.

I used to use it on a pay-as-ya-go kinda arrangement, but I used my CIT card to get it cheaper. Otherwise I think its about €8.50 a go, which isnt bad. My mate is a member, and I think he sed it works out at €49 a month using direct debit. The have a really extensive fitness assessment apparently, and made out a really good specific program for him. Their website is here for more info.

The only other big one with a swimming pool as far as i know, would be Maradyke in UCC. I've never used this to be honest, but I heard its supposed to be really good. Their website is here.

There are a few other gyms around the place, but I'm not sure about ones with pools. Some of the bigger hotels along the southlink might have leisure clubs...like rochestown park hotel. These would all be near the kinsale rd roundabout!

    Hope that helps! ;)
