    Hey guys,

Starting a new diet today and have gotten off to a bad start already :( Am not following WW, just generally trying to eat healthy and exercise. I have a food log and am writing down everything I'm eating according to calories...

Does anyone know how many calories are in a ham and cheese jambon from a shop deli counter??? (It's my last one I swear!) But I do need to log it....Have tried everything on google looking for the answer.

    Thanks :)

I don't even know what a jambon is.

For stuff like that I would recommend going to a supermarket and finding the most similar item you can. Really you should weigh the one from the deli and note the kcal per 100g of the store bought one.

I would veer on the bad side too, i.e. pick the highest calorie one in the supermarket, usually the expensive one.

Portion size is vital, I see people in work sitting down to ~300kcal ham sandwiches, while others eat ~1200kcal ones, over half a large vienna roll loaded with mayo.

Probably the worse (in terms of nutritional value and calorie count) thing you could eat is a service station jambon! Its basically a danish / puff pastry loaded with melted cheddar and fatty / salty ham!

I would hazard a guess at around 600Kcal for the mini ones

okay if you're dieting jambons should only be eaten once in a blue moon. there's prob more grams of saturated fat in one than kcals!

Hate to dig up a zombie thread but was looking for this info myself.

    Found this http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calories/cuisine-de-france-ham-and-cheese-jambon-2815562

Needless to say, will avoid in future!

Hmm, I'm surprised. I would have hazarded a guess at a lot more than 358 calories. Still would never tempt me to try one though. They look like utter vile things :(

In weight watcher terms they are 9 pro points. That's high for breakfast considering you would have no more than 6 pro points for breakfast - so tasty though!
