    Deal Extreme

Everything on there is a bargain but how about a thread for the best bargains on there?

    I'll start:

    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13272

Got these during the week and the sound off them is as good if not better than my apple earphones that cost at least €30.

hi how much did it cost to send them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭ShoulderChip

    Free delivery both sites.

may take up to 3.5 weeks to deliver though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,475 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Got these before. Don't think the sound was that good from them. Sort of muddy sound, not clear with bass like better earphones give you

for a tenner they are brilliant and there was no sale on at the time so you might get them even cheaper

just giving my opinion, have bought a good few pairs of earphones over the last few years. Best cheap ones I found were tesco 3euro ones. White plastic with silver on them, noise isolating. Still prefer a decent set of sony or sennheiser though

I concur! But at 100x the price of the dealextreme ones, may be a bit shocking :D

I've the Shure E4's (I'm not sure what the "new" name for the E4's is, but they were the E5's were the next step up) and they are absolutely brilliant. I bought a few pairs of the dealextreme ones just to have incase I'm ever in a situation where I didn't bring my Shures but found I've an opportunity to listen to my mp3 player and they are pretty bad compared, but at €3 or whatever they are each, they are still a bargain :)

A bargain, or is everywhere else just a rip off? I saw this in Tesco for €30, works out at about €3 delivered from dealextreme

Also ordered a replacement touch screen for my sons ds, although who is actually going to replace it is anyones guess. It was $3.06
    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3245

While I was at it I ordered this cigarette lighter for $1.50

These are the best earphones that I've tried from DX, easily rival anything youd find for €20 in a bricks n mortar shop.

ya I was considering these actually but i hate the erphones that go right into your ear and they are very uncomfortable do they fit into your ears like in ear earphones or ear buds?

I think theyre practically identical to the ones in the first post, just without the bling. They do fit into your ear canal a bit, but there are replacement heads for different sized ears. There are also red and green versions of them.

    Here:

These are meant to be good too, haven't tried them yet though:

Can't see why not since the site isn't based in America, but i presume it would work its an FM transmitter like FM is the tuner band we use.

I bought a few different types of earphones from DX, the ones above are a class above any that DX sell and a just as good as some a mate paid nearly a 100 for.

US uses the same band we do here. 88.1Mhz - 107.9Mhz, its Japan that uses a lower one.

Have bought a good few things off them.
Most of the stuff are knock offs but you can't complain with those prices.

    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10564

Have bought 2 of these already. Way better than any of the iTrips you buy here and for a quarter of the price!!
Plus it charges your iphone\ipod in the car!!

Got those cheap headphones aswell. Didn't think they were great tbh. Always better investing in a good set me thinks.

These look like ones I bought a few weeks ago for €2 in the Euro2 shop in the Mill Centre in Clondalkin - cant complaint about the quality for the price !!!

Not true, I've an american Radio that won't work here because it goes up in .5mhz where we go up in .1mhz ie 96.4 for 96FM in Cork but the US radio will go to 96.5 or 97.0mhz.

DX can be dodgy at times but the loss is so minimal anyways, good for cheap cables.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 850 ✭✭✭ordinary_girl

I got headphones from there a while ago and they were terrible, really tinny sound and sometimes one headphone would just stop working and then start again - very annoying!

Otherwise though, I think DX is okay, got some bracelets and a guitar capo from them and that stuff is all great and works perfectly.

    That's not right either.

Our's goes in .1 MHz steps.

The US goes in .2 MHz steps, on the odd number. eg 100.1 MHz, 100.3 MHz, 100.5 MHz, 100.7 MHz, and so on.

Obviously you won't pick up a station too well on say 100.2 MHz.

Fair enough obviously I don't use it so I wasn't sure. But the point is US radio's aren't compatible here. Mine was a car radio so that was a bit annoying.
