Must admit - I am strangely drawn to men with a bit of facial hair but it does depend on the fella

I completely fail to see the point of this thread. It has been established that some of the ladies like beards, some don't. Why do you need to know exact numbers.

Anyway, I'm going to leave it, but please NO MORE BEARD THREADS, OK?

Was Zaph crying when he made that request?
Ok well seeing as this is the last one we better make the most of it!!

I wonder if Enda Kenny grew a beard would it make him more convincing? I always feel there's something missing with him and I can't quite put my finger on it...

    Thats true! lol!

Like if Gerry Adams didn't have a beard it wouldn't be right either....he'd kind of look like Bill Gates

No, you're mixing up morals with a personality there. Easy mistake to make though.

Feel free to throw it over my way with a redirect if you want. ;)

As was said before in other threads, some women like 'em and some don't.
I'm still trying to find one of these ones that like them, I think they're all hiding. :o:(

As I've gotten on in years, I've come to appreciate beards a bit more. I used to not like any facial hair at all on a guy. Now, I think there are some guys who look good with stubble, and even a few who look good with a full on beard. I recently started seeing a guy and he has a full mustache and beard. I saw pictures of him clean shaven over the weekend, and I gotta say - I prefer the beard.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,048 ✭✭✭✭Snowie

    has a full mustache .

dont ever say that word again

What? Mustache? Why can't I say mustache? What's wrong with mustache? We all need a little stache every now and again!

I think the problem is that you spelled it the American way. :pac:
Over in these parts it's moustache! :p

I think the bit of stubble is sexy on the right man! But big crazy 'rocker' beards - big no no :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,048 ✭✭✭dolliemix

    Ok....

Charles Stewart Parnell (a) or Michael Collins (b)?

Santa Claus (a) or Gay Byrne (b)?

Kid Rock (a) or Michael Jackson (b)?

Mostly As = you prefer beards

    Mostly Bs = you dont

Oh, I see, it's a battle of the spell check! Well, my spell check say mustache is fine, but moustache is underlined in red. And I'm an American, so we all know my thinking powers are limited. :p

ok people might be getting sick of beard threads but i will never get sick of saying they make me go crazy.

i think beards have a weird power over me, obviously the guy has to be able to carry it off. i think most can though haha

But guys please dont take our love of beards as a green card to let things go wild - you need to keep things trimmed and dont let it go over 2/3 centimeters long, you'll start to look homeless

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,817 ✭✭✭✭Dord

The homeless look was so last year. I did it when it was en vogue. :p

Yuck. However stubble is lovely, but only to look at. Very painful to get too close to it... I just keep imagining food getting stuck in beards. Memories of roald dahl's the twits spring to mind

agreed. love the oul' bears lately!! a bit of stubble suits some men a bit better than a more hairy beard though... Defo depends!

Im not a huge fan of beards to be honest, a bit of stubble is ok but then you get stubble rash...so your chin suffers!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,085 ✭✭✭Xiney

I really love beards. Must be a latent lumberjack/coureurs de bois thing.

Beards are pretty great, but no guys my age are opting for the look. I'm going to have to find an older, wannabe folk star. Stubble is, as said before, nice to look at, but not nice to kiss against!

It depends on the person really. For me when I shave it's like Homer Simpson, it just pops back again in a second. :pac: :D

slight exageration, but it seems like that...

I'm the same, I've often shaved twice in the same day if I had something respectable to go to that evening. Better than having a red beard with my dark brown hair though.

Yeah I have to do the same, but then I decided I like the skin to stay on my face. :)

Depends on the lad. Some look grand with beards, provided that they keep them clean and trimmed. Nothing worse than someone trying to kiss you with food stored for a long winter in their beard.
