Ok so since it became available ive been registered with www.three.ie to hear more about the inq1...however, since Ive reigistered Ive noticed that its become available in UK and Aus....Does anyone know if/when it will be in Ireland this year?

Also would the INQ 1 from Three UK be locked against working with Three Irl?

i don't know if it'll be available here but i can tell you that a three uk one won't work with a 3 irl sim unless you get it unlocked so it works with any sim

3 rang me today saying I could order it there and then with them and tried to get me to change to bill pay also.

They also said it wont be order-able over the website or store for another few weeks so if I want to order it now, I gotta do it now, that it is in limited supply for now.

I just got mine from the 3 store in Cork. I have to say I like it...alot...the facebook, windows live messenger, skype and contacts integration is brilliant!!! (although a bit tedious to set up!)

I haven't come across any bugs yet...

And the keypad is excellent....although kind of a cheap feel, it is the best Ive used for texting in years!

What is the battery life like? I know you just got it so it will probably be a few days before you know.

Ok, i'm really annoyed now. They rang me today and told me that because i pre-registered I was eligible to get the phone for 'only 9 euro, as opposed to 280' when it does come out in a few weeks. They said it wouldn't be available for purchase anywhere except over the phone for weeks. Like an idiot I bought it.

    Yeah, seriously annoyed now.

After a few hours of use...the battery is ok. I would expect about 2 days normal usuage from it.

One problem has arised.... Every so often (ranging from 5 mins to 2 hours) the phone will look for the pin number...it is unusuable during this period! This bug is annoying but kind of explains why 3 do not set pin numbers on their sims as standard -> Setting the pin request to off solves the problem.

EDIT:I have discovered that this problem is caused by the phone switching between the 3 network and the vodafone network... When on the vodafone network it is common for the phone to display EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY...depite it being able to make/receive calls & texts... If in an area of varying coverage (eg changing between vodafone and 3 alot) it causes the phone to restart thus promting the pin request as mentioned above!

The only other annoying thing is when the phone is switched on first it can take up to 5 mins before the phonebook is ready for use (you have to wait for all facebook, msn & skype info to be updated!) This can be avoided by not switching the phone off!...not ideal, but a solution non-the-less!

Sorry I should have been more clear. Yes msn and skype are still free. Bebo alerts can now be sent straight to your phone. I'm not to sure how to pet it up, I think the information is on the website and planet 3.

Ring them before you go to double-check the opening hours. The website is not reliable.

Major firmware update for the E71 came out there a few days ago, you should update.

Use the 1GB add on for all my mobile browsing (boards, internet, you tube....) Have never gone over the allowance.

Ya, IMO great phone for the price (€99 on 3pay), takes a while to load the information when first turned on cause it has to load facebook contacts etc..., battery life is good, I'm getting two days with quite a lot of browsing, downloading off the music store (probably not of much interest to most of you) is fast and the camera is good in proper daylight (in dark/night its pretty useless)

Does anyone know if the phone is limited in the size of micros sd card it can handle? Will an 8GB sd card work, or is 4GB the max size?

Is anyone else having trouble with MSN on the phone? I'm signed in fine and can see all my contacts. However it says that I have a new msn message, I go look and there's no chat there. When I leave the MSN app open, I still don't get any new messages.

On Planet3 I went to download it again, but it says it's not available on the phone! C'mon Three!

I've been making do with the java version of eBuddy for my IM'ing fix. Seems like it's a little bit intensive on the battery though and it lacks the integration with all the contacts but it'll do for now.

Will have to go into the Three store shortly to ask them about the official Microsoft client being fixed and made available.

Never mind going into the Three store to ask about the MSN client, I had to go in within a week after breaking the LCD screen. The glass isn't very protective it would seem, although in saying that I did practically run into the corner of a table with the phone in my pocket. €60 to get it repaired and now I'm regretting buying such a great value phone for the simple reason that I feel like I've been screwed on repair costs (only €9 extra to buy a new one on Best of Both).

Does anyone know if the MSN app is now working on this? Also, are there any widgets available for it online?

It is a nice phone, and I dare say a competitor to the iPhone in some respects, however the point is the apps. If you aren't bothered about having Skype, Facebook and push Gmail on your phone, you might be happier with a basic Nokia or <insert whatever brand you prefer>.

well, i like having a decent phone, had a nice mid-range sony but the screen has gone hay-wire, looks like i dropped it even though I dont remember dropping it lately, had a nice TFT screen. a good screen, great battery life, half decent camera and minimum bugs and glitchs would be my main concerns.

I reckon my phone is still under warranty, maybe ill chance my arm first, worst that can happen is no.
