I am 90kg, 27% Body fat, and 6 foot 2 tall male. who aims to lose 10kg body fat by Mid March 2009.

I have been looking at supplements and Maximuscle seem to think there Promax protein shake combined with their Thermobol slimming tablets are just the job.

Does anyone have any experience / knowledge of these.

I am definitely goin to take the protein shake to help up my daily protein to about 160 grams

But I am very wary of slimming tablets. Not sure if I should use them. I dont want to be buzzing all day and night on horrifically high levels of caffeine and messing with my blood sugar with CLA which supposedly increase insulin resistance.

    All views apprecieatd.

p.s. this will be in addition to a decent 3 day a week weights programe and 4 day a week Cardio + crap free diet

    Read the sticky here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055324792

Maximuscle is overpriced and reports are not great even at that. There are many online shops here and Uk with cheaper products. Most will be listed & discussed in that thread I linked to.

You won't even need slimming tablets. If you have 10kg to lose handy, it will fall off with a the good diet and a good exercise plan. You'd be just wasting your money on slimming tabs/fat burners. All you need is dedication and drive. Add the likes of Soya Lecithen to your diet and L-carnitine to help you on your way.

Maximuscle has a bad name with people who know their stuff. Stick to better brands of protein, which will be as good if not better and a whole lot cheaper.

Check out BSN Syntha-6, NutritionX Pro-Matrix, ON 100% Whey, or even Syntrax Nectar Isolate, or Olimp proteins. Drop Maximuscle tbh.

My views on the above mentioned product range is :p I have to agree with Jon. They are over over priced and there are much better products on the market that will also save you money. Check out the likes of BSN, Muscletech (To be honest muscletech is a bit pricey but its one of the best products) Optimum. We sell a particular product that when you compare them to a particular product from the above mentioned they are the same. The only difference is that the product that we sell is 10 or 15 euro cheaper and comes in a bigger tub.
