Bit of a silly question but feel I should ask anyway because my fitness-based assumptions seem to generally be off!

If I make up a week's worth of protein shakes in one go and put it in the fridge, will it be just as good as making them one at a time (in terms of them keeping and having the same benefit)??

I'm assuming the only thing to keep in mind is the best before of what I mix the protein with (if it's milk, for example) but you never know!

Would be awful handy to do up a 2l batch or something and just pour it when I need it - could mix it up at the same time that I'm cooking my chicken etc. !!

Not a very good idea. The shakes will begin to stink. I would say, whenever possible, to make shake up on the spot before drinking. At most, mix them a couple of hours before drinking but certainly try not to make them days before drinking.

I used to make up my weeks worth of shakes by dry ingredients in sandwhich bags, ie pwo shakes and non pwo, have them all proportioned in sandwhich bags then I'd only need my trusty shaker bottle and some water to sort it out when needed.

Thats definitely the best approach I think.

i used to use small ziplock bags, but moved on to the smallest 'addis' air tight reusable containers for carrying my supplement measures, they are washable (bags weren't) and hard wearing (bags wear out easily), and more environmentally friendly (1 container vs 100s of little plastic bag) :)

Thanks for the suggestions - will try zip-lock bags of the little containers and see how I get on; should make life a bit easier.
