If you book online and are charged more we will ensure you get a refund from the hotel.

Most people who are booking are playing the tournament, the hotel is usually quiet these dates so there won't be a problem

    thanks

lol @ rake in cash games.

it seems that you don't understand that a lot of 1/2 games around dublin play quite deep these days and that 1k pots aren't that uncommon. I don't think ive ever seen more than a fiver raked from a pot in any casino in town. I wouldn't be too happy with 50 being taken.

What are the current numbers for people registered online and offline?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,163 ✭✭✭Slash/ED

How do you unregister from this online? I wont actually be able to play it, with christmas I probably shouldn't be spending this kinda money on a tournament, anyway the unregister button is blocked out on the poker client so what can I do?

Any idea of numbers Bru? I've regged online, but would like to know if it's gonna be worth my time spending 2 days trying to win €2000! I mean, if there were fcuk all going to this then I might be better off using the €220 trying to sat into the IPC or the IO.:o

Ah Jesus Andrew i didn't think that you would join the witch hunt aswell . Think for yourself and forget about the pack of wolves.
At the end of the day it's a well structured event with a decent buy in and represents good value everywhere. Now surely you can recognise that.

Well Damien i have thought for myself and i think pulling a gaurentee is ridiculas. I personally had never any intention of playing the event but i still was disgraced when i hearrd the gaurentee was pulled. I just dont want to see that its acceptable to pull gaurentees willy nilly. I thought it was a very ambitous gaurentee at the time , and that still didnt persuade me to make an effort to play it, which sort of confirms the poor time to try and get a large field tourney.

I hope this reflects my opinion a little more than my first post, but i had intended to post few days ago but id seen other people(ditpoker for example) cover the points v well i had intended to make.

If I turn up on the 28th at 1.30 - what are my chances of getting a seat in the ME?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 309 ✭✭SuperHans

Just logged into leprechaun to check some stuff out and have noticed that my buy in has been refunded(haven't requested this) and that the tournament has been removed from the lobby. So should I book my hotel room tomorrow or is there something I need to know?

i have been offline for the last 4 days, but at that time there was 152, so now you have to decide if thats worth while or not

i would suspect that as per usual, a lot of players will simply turn up on the day, last minute stuff like normal poker players do

havent a clue how many that will be,

anyway, hope you can make it man

    should be good

its gas really, a guy says he never had any intention of playing the event but still wants to come on here and throw a sidewinder and dereailer

people are of course entitled to their opinion, but there is an old saying

if you have nothing good to say about someone, then its best to say nothing at all

in fairness, there is and has been quite a bit of positive support and its really appreciated

negativity for negativity sake is never welcomed, constructive criticism is halpful, there is a fine line,,,

    new years resolution;
    no clamping this year
    try to forgive and forget
    join a health club
    diet
    get fit
target weight loss this year is 100 lbs, however knowing my compulsive obsessive disorder, once i start something etc, we will see
last time i did this, i was eventually ordered to restart eating as i had lost 42 lbs in 2 months
be more generous with my time for those less fortunate
    win more at poker
print in lower case wherever possible

Technical hitch at Ipoker resulted in quite a few online registered players getting Mistakenly unregistered.

I have all players details and we are working on fixing this at the minute.

I'll further update a little later, but everything in place for tomorrow.

    Hi Paul

yes, once the registration was over, the tourney was removed from their list

but worry not, it goes ahead and anyone who has regd, is in, full list at the reg desk

    see you tomorrow

    good luck and merry christmas
thanks for the support, its very welcome i can assure you

    fret not my man

once the tourney was closed for online reg, it was closed off the site

unfortunately, the site programming saw it as a cancelled event and immediately refunded everyone who was pre regd,
of course i am speaking about a program, not a real person, machines dont think, but i am guessing you get my meaning here

anyway, Bru spent his afternoon very productively re registering and cancelling the refunds from everyone, one at a time, great fun

its done now and the reg desk people will have your name on their list of pre regd, pre paid etc players

just tell them your name etc and you are in my friend

best of luck, hope you go deep

may all your flops be on a card table

    merry everything

    Derek
ps, thanks for the support, very much appreciated, we will do our level best to make it super for you

incidentally, dont know if you area vegetarian, but if not, man o man you should try the Royal Flush Hmburger Meal
seriously, i could hardly finish it, and i was hungry before i sat down and had no starter
double whammy double decker with bacon and cheese, obligatory fries of course, didnt finish them, awesome

I've removed some more off topic and unhelpful comments. I'm leaving Jackybacks one above stay with this note. The matter regarding The Clamper's breaking of forum rules has been dealt with and he has served his time so to speak, while we dont expect everyone to forget it, can we all stop bringing it up please. Lets keep this thread on topic.

As mentioned before feedback is welcome, but unhelpful comments and abusive comments certainly are not. Mr Minraise can take a 3 day break from the forum for his comment.

Okay, drama over now please. Good luck to all playing today. Hopefully we'll have plenty of updates on this thread.

Its taken 18 minutes but we've finally lost a player. Nelius Foley, winner of the freeroll package for early registered players online managed to double up with 99 on a 9339x board against what looks to have been a big overpair, betting and raising on all streets.

Is it still set at a 250 player cap for tomorrow?

Theres 31 tables set up, if it comes to it Im sure they can accomodate 300 plus alternates although tables are set to play 9 players max.

most interesting boardsie table Ive seen has Macspower, PierceHard and Tag. - Paul Smallwood also on this table.

Carfax up to 17,900. I expect a blowup within an hour

Somehow edited a post instead of quoting, thats the latest above, other players spotted include TJ, GetInThere and Cooker all on the same table, Yifei, Mad Marty Wilson, Damo Kent and Playable Hand.

Second player doubles up on Nelius and Carfaxs table, not much action elsewhere.
