Live forever or die now, what'll it be?

A simple choice: Live forever or die right now this second, which would you choose?

Assuming that life on this planet will go on forever.

Edit: No freezing yourself. You can't kill yourself cos you're living forever. Artards.

If anyone wants the 'die now' option, i know where there's a tall building, we could go there right now, i'll be on hand to give you a push.

On topic: If restricted to those 2 choices, I'd pick die now. Living forever would be horrible not only because of the boredom aspect but also because you'd see everybody you know and love die. This would happen with every new generation of friends you make ad infinitum.

There would be the odd benefit however.

    I'd choose to live forever.

I don't want to die now, too many thing's I have left to do.

Also you could argue that your family & friends would have to see you die, so you're choosing for them to suffer heartache and sadness instead of yourself.

Also to the people saying "I'd live forever and if I get bored, I'd top myself" - You can't. You're alive. Forever.

    Fact!! :pac:

Live forever without a doubt. Even though I thnk the longterm consequences of watching everyone you love die time after time would make you into a crazy before too manay millenia have passed. The notion is too big to concieve living through, objects in the rearview mirror and all that.

Live forever.* I reckon it's a good bet that science will advance to the point where you can have your memory wiped so you could re-experience everything.

*assuming your body stays in good shape. Wouldn't want to be a crippled old deaf, dumb and blind wreck after the first 200 years.

So what happens if during your time living forever you get a shotgun to your head blowing it clean off??? Or are we bullet proof?

So they don't receive the horror of seeing their children die before them.
As a parent, I would never wish for that.

In that situation, Groundhog Day rules apply. You will wake up [alive] on the morning of the day you blew your head off. Eventually you'd get tired of trying to kill yourself, learn the piano and score a chick with a guy's name.

Man, imagine in 3008, when you're still buzzing about scoring Scarlett back in 2045, or something, and everyone you tell is saying "who?"

Apart from anything else, you could be a legendary fireman!

How terrifying to live forever. That would mightily suck serious ballage.

I'd die now. Regretfully. I've so much left to do...... And no one would even get a Christmas present from me.. Actually, maybe that's a good thing.

Funny when they realise i've no will. Actually funnier when they see the amount in my bank account. :pac: 10p bag anyone?

I'd live forever, so as I don't feel any physical pain or suffering the most painfull illnesses that'd kill a man in hours. Cause' and eternity of that sh!t would suck !

I would die now. I dont want to live in a world where I would live through all the wars, watch my family die and loved ones die one after another. It would be incredibly lonely.

Hang on, you could live in a world where you win all the wars!

You just really wouldn't want to get put in jail for life. That'd be a bit ****e.

I's die now. Why on earth would you want to live forever? with nothing ever changing. death is looking into the unknown and a big change, which i'm looking forward to in the future. I'm definitely not afraid of death. imagine if you knew this existence went on forever and ever.....ooh no
