Working for Christmas?

What Emergency Service, and visiting, posters are working for Christmas?

There's a similar thread on AH and some people with real jobs actually have to work on Christmas eve - imagine!

I've noticed, over the last few years that Christmas day itself has become increasingly busier. Why can't people celebrate the birth of Santa peacefully?

Will nightclubs open at midnight to bleed the last few pennies out of the nearly extinct Cubbus Tigerus?

This year i'm off for the first time ever - I think i'll get cabin fever! I'll miss out on the sympathy vote too.

Hope the Morcame and Wise special is as good as the last one I saw.

Are you working on Christmas Day? 33 votes

Yes, but I don't make a thing out of it like Deadwood.

...Back on Late Christmas Eve..Late Christmas Day, Early Stephen's day so on so forth..

I've noticed the increasing trend, too. It won't be too long until we go US style and most restaurants and shops be open on the day itself..to top off all of the DVLAs we'll have shoplifters too!

You can cover for me if you'd like, Deadwood. I'll sanction the TOIL. ;)

Last few xmas days have actually been busy..

Not many calls, but the ones we had each year were extrememly messy, with prisoners on the day, and reminders for the files early in the new year :(

Oh! What I would give for a buckshee day. Are there any vacancies down there in the sticks?

I could be a "Nog from the bog". :D

Am working Christmas Eve finishing up at 4pm then off Christmas day and Boxing day, back on 29th through to the 4th. On duty on a late shift New Years Eve and Day.

This is the first Christmas day I've had off in 5 years, so am looking forward to spending it with the mrs, and not the local vermin....(not referring to my colleagues :D).

Safe and 'Q' (never say the Q word :P) Christmas to all ES members working the holidays.

    All cars, MP out.
