Hows it goin, Ive been living at home with the parents for the last 20 years and next week Im moving into a house with a mate of mine. Hes the same age as me and I realise that I will have a lot more freedom as I have younger brothers living with me now (ages between 4 and 8) and becuase of they are so young I havent been able to relax and do my own thing at home without disturbing someone in a long time.

Just wondering what does everyone like the most when they first move out on their own. Im looking forward to having a few of the lads over and not having to be quiet as possible when the lads are around because theres no kids in bed, also looking forward to having my own bathroom :pac:

I know theres plently more, anyone care to share what they like the most when they first move out of home??

Poping one off whenever I want where ever I want.

Staying up all night playing games with the volume actually on.

    Sessions, drinking and smoking.

Keeping pets that wouldn't be allowed at home.

Getting good broadband, not the cheap crap your parents thinks is good.

Banging on the kitchen table, it doesn't seem right doing that in your parents house.

Having claim over the remote, no matter who is in my house, that remote is mine and the channel will stay on the discovery channel.

Filling the fridge with insane amounts of alcohol.

Filling the fridge with insane amounts of crap but damn tasty food.

Most of all, which covers everything really, FREEDOM!!! :)

Doesn't matter what 'kind' of girl you bring back! ;)

Not having to tidy up after yourself and playing Playstation on the main tv without moaning in your ear.

The afore mentioned sexual benefits go without saying.

Your days off entail nothing more than sitting around in your boxers, playing the ps3 and drinking beer. When you need to go to the bathroom you'll find that using an empty beer can or bowl is just as effective but a hell of a lot easier.

    Burning hand on the stove

Leaving porn in the bathroom without worrying if anyone is going to find it

filling fridge with steak and cheese

    filling cupboard with liquor

living for days in the nude

    **** in the living room.
living at home never stopped me before

edit: in fact, at home I had a **** in just about every room of the house. 6 years of fond memories.

True but I've always found things get a little awkward when you do it while your mum is watching 15 to 1.

    15 to wha?

It was their fault for leaving the PC in the bedroom dammit.

Meh, it's about 50/50 what goes in and what lands on the floor. That's acceptable in my books.

My mam gets so transfixed by those kind of ****ty shows, even a porn star* could have a **** and she wouldn't notice as long as he didn't block the telly.

    FYP btw

*what's with all the grunting? Even when I'm alone I don't make those kind of noises.

Cooking what YOU want to eat. The freedom to come and go as you please and having people around whenever you want.

Cooking what YOU want to eat.

Actually as regards the cooking thing, its the only thing I miss about not living at home. After a day's work coming home to cook is a pain in the hole.

Murdering innocent pedestrians in GTA with the volume on full

    Walking around bollock naked

    pissing with the door open

coming home whenever you feel like it

Playing 80's punk really really loud

watching the Sopranos and not feeling awkward when Tony is noisily screwing some stripper

A sunday morning spent with a bottle of Jameson's while getting a massive thumb from excessive channel surfing.

While I second everything about booze/noise/slutty girls/ nakedness etc please be careful if you decide to piss in containers and leave them lying about.
    1. It's scummy
    2. At a friends house a while ago after a night out drunk I took a swig out of a bottle which I assumed to be vodka -It was a vodka bottle with clear liquid in it....turns out I was wrong :( ......I suppose it taught me to either wait til I was offered/ ask for booze in a mates house....

you don't have to clean your room.. or house if you don't want to

you can drink anytime you like

watch what you like on tv

and if you don't come home from a night out.. nobody cares!

No, but most normal people don't enjoy living in their own filth either

yes that's true.. and my house is clean but some days when you just couldn't be bothered you can leave it for the next day.

You don't have to brush your teeth or have a bath. And you can stay up all night eating jellybabies and talking about boys with your girlfriends when they come over for a sleep-over!

Oh Yay! This is gonna be fun!

I'd still rather that than having a sup from an ash-can.

You can eat what you want when you want.
Drink when you want, smoke in the house if you want.
Have the lads around for a session without worrying about the noise.
Play music through your surround sound in the sitting room.
Stay out as late as you like.
Lie in bed as long as you like.
You clean on your own terms.
Spend as long as you like in the bath or the shower.
Sex in any part of the house you like.
but best of all for me......

I can drum all night long over and over and nobody can tell me to stop playing!

ahhh mate to0 true, dat brings me back like, i was at this crazy party (well one of many) when i was much younger, too young to be there in fact (everybody was doin everyting like) anyway I watched the same girl do it 3 times with three different cans, uuuuurrrrghhh manky i nearly got sick myself. ON the third one i witnessed her drink it, grimace intensely, pull the strangest face ive ever seen and then proceed to pull the smoke butt out of her mouth hahahaha scaldy. Needless to say i told her their would be strictly no kissing haha

    buy a bong.

    Use said bong.

Cleaning when you want to (or not cleaning, if that's your thing).
You can fully embrace hangovers, rather than playing it down.
As others have said: freedom to session

I don't get the 'freedom to eat anything' benefit. My cooking is fúcking terrible.

well i avent moved out, but my favourite thing would be being able to smoke weed anywhere in da house. be it when takin a dump, watchin telly in da sitting room, kitchen anywhere. whereas at home i have to smoke late in my room when they settle into watchin they shows, or when the younger brothers go to bed and i dont have to worry bout em keep burstin into my room while i smoke my pipe. and i'd to be able to play tunes till i want without havin to wear headphones! FREE DA WEED!!!!!
