Yeah, five years ago would have been Puzzle I'd say, which is what most people seem to think is where the band gained popularity.

I know it would never happen, but if they did an intimate gig in Dolan's I would absolutely lose my sh*t.

Hope Ireland figures into their tour plans at any rate.

You haven't seen them then?

I didn't go to see them in particular, they were one of two support acts. Yeah it was Puzzle, I can remember the first song was Saturday Superhouse.

Nope, haven't seen them. Only started to get into them proper when Bubbles started getting radio play. They're the second band I've become aware of only after they've been together ages, and then absorbed every song they've ever recorded in an orgy of listening pleasure.

I wasn't sure about that song at first either. But for me it's mostly just the lyrics. They seem kinda basic, especially when you think that the same guy wrote things like All the Way Down. I think it's a bit of a grower, though...

Also, Neil, their tour manager, tweeted that it's not a single, just a taster!

Also, I'm not blown away by 'OPPOSITES' as the overall album title either! Seems a bit straightforward and uninteresting. It's easier than writing 'The Land at the End of Our Toes' and 'the Sand at the Core of Our Bones' though :P

Also, the label turned down their idea for a triple album? That would have been something!

Also, word on the street is that the album isn't out until January 28th?! :eek:

I saw Bob Mould yesterday. He played a few Husker Du songs and I could have died there and then a happy man. My eardrums were/are destroyed but in the best possible way.

Also got to see Chic, Lisa Hannigan, Chromatics and a few others. Good buzz.

Very good. I don't know them particularly well as I only started listening to them last week but I enjoyed the whole show. Covering both Neil Young and Kate Bush is destined to be good. Also, the singer is one of the coolest front women ever. :cool:
