The Moon theme tune is fairly class itself, epic piano piece.
Clint Mansell is a master. Check out his piece from Requiem For A Dream, "Lux Aeterna". Stunning music.
As for angsty, beautiful melodies, Belly are great.

Sigur Rós - Inni (Live Album) is two discs of just mind-blowingly amazing music. Disc one is here, but some of my favourite stuff is on 2. You just owe yourself the chance to listen to it.
EDIT: Also, Arcade Fire have released a new version of Sprawl II (only marginally different), and the new interactive music video for the new version on http://sprawl2.com
Inni is incredible! I saw the film in the IFI in Dublin too. Highly recommend this to anyone!
