As the title says really, who is a crap actor or doesn't really deserve their success based on ability

My choice would have to be Rene Zellweger (Excuse spelling). Bad Actress seems to me like a poor mans Charlize Theron, Honorable mention does however go to Paul Walker.

I used to think Tom Hanks was over-rated. I thought Forest Gump was only okay and I didn't know what the fuss was about. But then I saw Philadelphia and The Green Mile a few months ago and he was brilliant.

I have no problem if the whole world and it's mother worship the testicles of a particular actor, if that actor is as good as the whole world thinks. But I don't believe that this is the case with Christian Bale.

Ah come off it! He's done some bad stuff lately, but the good still outweighs the bad. What about The Deer Hunter, Casino, Mean Streets, Once Upon A Time In America, Goodfellas, Ronin, Heat, Sleepers, and there's plenty of other great films he's been in too? I'm not discounting he's been in some turgid crap over the last decade, but it's certainly not "four or five" to every good film, and I don't think it overshadows his classic performances.

I'd tend to agree. He can be great but sometimes he gets praised for being who he is. Take Gangs of New York for example, as Bill The Butcher his performance was overbloated and cartoonish. Definitely not worthy of an Oscar nod.

ben stiller , plays the same guy in every film , baschically decent but wimpy
jack nicholson , i love jack but is he ever not chewing the scenery in a movie or being over the top
morgan freeman , he mostly plays an older wiser person to someone younger, he always has to be wise
pierce brosnan , a seriously bad actor and my least favourite bond
harrison ford , him being a bad actor is only saved by the film roles he chose

I think Angelina Jolie can be a fantastic actress when needs be; she just picks the most superficial, unintelligent roles/films in the industry. Check out Gia/Girl Interrupted/Mighty Heart/Changeling.

My nomination goes to Kirsten Dunst, but I dont know if shes ever been exactly 'rated'.

Most of the high profile actors in Hollywood cant act their way out of a paper bag.
Most of them are just pretty vacuous people who chanced their arm at acting.

No, the best thing Tom Cruise has been in is Magnolia. And he's very good in it.
