Zombie Threads

I noticed on a couple other vBulletin boards I saw this:

    attachment.php?attachmentid=67807&d=1228322576

I figure adding this on might stop a few of the random zombie threads we see happen every now and again across boards.

    Also whats that trackback yoke?

    Great suggestion Overheal.

Surely, though, you are here long enough to know that this should be in the development forum with a [feature request] tag on it..:):p

    Not Your Ornery Onager

Sorry for bumping this ancient thread.

The OP has made a good suggestion, and I cannot understand why it has not been implemented already. It's been almost a day, ffs! :D

But as I understand it CuLT keeps boards running on some butchered/custom/hand-crafted version of vBullentin so its a wonder as to if/when the feature could be added.

    Im bumping this.

Take a look at this one: http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=122001

Could have had a zombie nation on our hands if Thead wasnt there with her boom-stick.

The thread was revived because another one of the new features led one of the posters right to it: The similar threads feature, portrayed in action here: http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055440740 with Similar threads showing up from 2007, 2006, 2005 and previously, 2003.

At other times I've seen threads in After Hours brought back 4 years from the grave because some innocent mammy was googling a murder/rape case, saw After Hours making sport of it, and she signed up just to tell us all off. Which I mean, fair play, but it might not have happened if the Zombie-Warning was there.

So Aye, it would be good to have a Zombie Warning-Checkbox for such occassions.

I hate people who bump old threads that everyone has forgotten about. This happens all the time in AH. Can we get something like this implemented to keep the old threads old?
    Oh yeah.
    BUMP!

See this thread proves that zombie threads are fun!!

Besides, every knows the only way to kill a zombie is shoot it in the head.

Not for the moment, when we get around to adding new functionality to the site again, it'll be on the table.

I hear recently the big Priority One is the launch of a few new Servers very shortly. But good to know you like the thought :)

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
