    Right.

Long story short, I've got 1.88 to tide me over between this and Friday. I have the following:

    Bread.
    Tea.
    Cereal.
    Can-Do attitude.

I'm hungry. What's the best way I can spend my precious, precious €1.88 to maximise my fun/ nutrition over the next two days?

Milk. Tea, toast, cereal - part of any nutritious meal

to maximise your fun, go to an arcade, or buy candyfloss.

to maximise nutrition, tesco 12c noodles will tide you over for a while.

Noodles will tide me over, but if I eat any more this week, I might just die of starch poisoning.

    1) Buy a paper cup
    2) Beg on the street
    3) Profit

Where's the cheapest pint of milk, and does it taste suspiciously like Yore Ma?

Get a Twix bar, there's two of them in the pack so you get more value for your money.

Buy the cheapest microwave popcorn available, it will fill you up.

Or buy one very strong sleeping pill, and you can wake up on Saturday

Whoa. Are you me from the future?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Don't buy milk. Go to McDonalds/Burger King and nick their UHT milk.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,090 ✭✭✭jill_valentine

I'll have to rob quite a bit of it for a bowl of cereal.

Definitely noodles, if Oxfam dropped aid packages into student disaster zones, they would be full of them.

    Failing that:
    Communion Wafer
    Sacramental Wine

Am I better off with Pot Noodle - and by that I mean "Cup Noodle", thank you Lidl - or the block kind?

I mean, I feel like there's more actual noodle action in a block, but I can dip bread in the noodle water...

Any suggestions as to what can be added to noodles to make them almost like food?

    1) Buy some blank CD's
    2) Burn a few albums (obviously of non-copywrited material)
    3) Draw covers on them - Irrelevant whether it's art or a crappy sketch
    4) Walk to a friends house - arrive at mealtime!
    5) "I made you a present!"
    6) "May I join you for dinner?" (puppy-dog eyes!)
    7) Repeat on a per-meal basis until you run out of CD's!

    Problem solved!

Frozen mixed veg can be added to pot when cooking noodles to imitate a real meal - as well as distract you from the fact it's the same basic meal as you've been eating all week!

There's more in a block noodle than there is in a "Cup" noodle, although cup noodles are more delicious than the block. Block noodles are cheaper than Cup Noodle though, 25c a pack. so you can buy 4 for a euro and then milk too...

    Go to supermarket.

Grab any items you see with "25% free!" on the side. Empty three quarters of each packet on to the floor. Exit supermarket. If anyone stops you, show them the bit on the packet that says 25% free, and the pile of food you left in the aisle.

    Under your bed?

In all your pockets and purses?

You may be able to make up a few more cent!! Here are few suggestions from Tesco:

Tesco Value Spaghetti In Tomt Sce 410g €0.21

    Batchelors Chick Peas 225g €0.62

Tesco Value Ginger Nuts 300g €0.34

Trattoria Verdi Chopped Tomatoes 400g €0.45

Tesco Value Curry Flavour Ins Noodles 65g €0.13 x2

That should all equal your 1.88!!

I'm telling ya, I could feed a family of 4 on less than 10 euro week I reckon.

Now, they wouldn't be the HEALTHIEST or fattest family around, but who wants fatties anyway??!!

1.88 worth of used condoms from a dealer in the street is considered a bargain in many peoples eyes.
