:confused:I was on a cv day today in the gym and i had planned to do a good hour on treadmil, x trainer. But after about 15 mins on the treadmil i hit such a brick wall of tiredness.

Is there any thing i can do pre workout to help with this. Bear in mind i was in th gym at about 7:15am so dint have brekie all i had was bottle of lucozade sport (the isantonic drink)

Another point to note is its my fist week back training after a 6 week gap in doing sweet FA!

My overall goal is weightloss by doing weights/cv/good diet

I as putting this morning down to only back training and with time i will regain strenght ??

Anyone wana give me there 2 cents worth ?

    Eat something before your workout.

In fact, try have a proper breakfast it will enable you to work harder in the gym.
Porridge, Muesli, Eggs, Some fruit etc.

Doing Cardio on an empty stomach is fine and some say beneficial to weightloss, I personally disagree and think finding a balance between how much you consume and how much work you do is better, but if you are in the gym to do both cardio and weights that early with no breakfast and probably having not eaten since 8pm the night before then what you are doing is counter productive.

Try also have some form of protein in the morning before weight training workouts.

while i would agree that you will perform better after breakfast, it is not practical in some cases, i often go to the gym at 7 a.m. and getting up anytime before 6.30 is not an option ...

O.P, The "wall" happens to me sometimes during an early am session and its nearly always caused by dehydration, if i knock back 0.5L of water on the way to the gym and another 1L during the workout my performance is vastly better

Have an orange/banana/apple and glass of water as soon as you wake up. Don't fall for the hype.

:)hi.im a personal trainer and i would never train at anything without fueling in some capacity in advance.not a full irish 45mins before though!..you might have been asking a bit much after a lay off like that.no panic.just be gradual and you should be back to 1hr cardio pretty soon.stick with it.any wall can be smashed down!.
