Netopia 2247NWG and IBB : more than one online

Hi

I have a Netopia 2247NWG router as a hangover from my eircom days and I have now the IBB in a box, have connected both up and can go online using my laptop wirelessly, but cannot get more than one person online at a time - is it possible to use this router to allow a few users to surf at the same time ?

NO you will need a router with an RJ45 WAN port to hook up to the IBB gear and do DHCP for you etc.

Cheers for the reply MC - can I not just get an adapter that will change the RJ45 from the IBB box into the RJ11 (I think) on the netopia box using something like this:

Nope, the tech inside the router with an RJ45 WAN is totally different and not at all compatible with RJ11 connections which change the DSL signal on the phone line into your internet connection.

A WRT54G or any of its variants is one of the good RJ45 wifi routers out there.
