Based on the past performance of Kerry CoCo with regards to road upgrades in Killarney it's reasonable to assume that this upgrade will be an unmitigated disaster for Killarney Traffic.

Hi folks, been 10 years since I lived in Killarney. Had my favourite spots when I lived there but unsure of whats changed in that time. And I find myself down for a few days with my wife later this month.

Where's the best brunch spots that do an all day breakfast?

    Much appreciated.

Similar to myself, it's been a few years and would like to know what's changed, where the best places to go are etc.

Not sure about brunch but the Plaza or Tatler Jack for breakfast, Reidys is more coffee and Danish..

Not sure if The Curious Cat has reopened but its worth a call

Manna down Glebe Lane is supposed to be excellent for breakfast. The Plaza as mentioned good for brunch too. Good Boy up the lane from Teddy O Connors do a great coffee and bites also.

Manna looks like the one. Didn't even know it existed so thanks very much.

Manna is good, been there a few times now (just last weekend!). They do a brunch and lunch menu. Nice selection. I actually had bangers & mash there last week for lunch and it was lovely. Service was a little slow though.

Manna definitely my favourite in town for breakfast. Very good value too, a huge feed for €13.50, you won't need to eat until later that evening.

The Curious Cat is also open and very good too.

I got breakfast in the Plaza a few months back and thought the portions were tiny and extremely poor value for money. So echoing others here and recommending both Manna and Curious Cat!

Tesco Killarney - (Deepark one presumes) to be a new click and collect site for IKEA.

Yeah Manna and Curious Cat. Manna's 'The Cure' is lovely, a little too much bacon for my liking, but nice. The Skillet in Curious Cat is sublime. Both a step above your usual full irish etc

just wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a pub that will show clubber matches on the screens ? Heading down this weekend and looking for somewhere for a drink and watch an u20 hurling game on Saturday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,563 ✭✭✭dobman88

Jimmy Briens might be a good bet. Maybe the Tatler Jack. But I've not heard of pubs showing games on clubber before tbh.

Depends on if it's clashing with anything else on telly at the time.

Was approached on College Street today by a woman asking to 'borrow' €2. She was maybe early 50's, a bit disheveled looking and like she was missing some teeth. Just wondering if anyone knows who she is, and if perhaps she's getting the help she needs? I've seen her at this before outside the Porterhouse, so I think she's local.
