I ordered from here last week
They are based in the UK so only took 3 days to arrive
Could probably be got from deal extreme slightly cheaper but with Xmas coming up Uk delivery would be much quicker

You'd get a DSTT and a 2gb card from dealextreme for €15 delivered. There delivery has improved recently, usually getting things off them in less than two weeks

I ordered an fm transmiter recently and it took over a month to arrive
I was'nt going to take the chance of not having it for Xmas :)

I ordered something from Deal Extreme on the 4th, it didn't ship until the 13th and arrived today (the 19th).

Not sure why it took so long to ship - can't remember if it was supposed to be out of stock on one item or another - but had it shipped quicker it would have been a relatively respectable turn around time, considering the distance traveled.

Seeing has it could take 1-2 (or more) days for something posted in Ireland to reach its destination, 5 working days is slightly better than relatively respectable in my mind :pac:

Today is only the 18th, unless your postman gets up very early :)

Well you could order now, if you dont have it by 6th of December or so buy off the english site, if the DX one comes in the mean time you'll easily get what you paid for it back.

To be honest thats not a bad deal I got three of DE a few weeks ago and they are poor clones. I did find software but it was trouble.

I got some on DSTTs on deal extreme and 8GB cards on mymemory

Worked out about €21 for each DSTT & card reader & 8GB card

Some previous ones were ordered on 12/11 and arrived 18/11, so actually faster than most UK stuff I get!

i think the r4 are out of date. They arent updating the firmware so the newest games wont work

Anyone know what the best mod is then for the DS lite? and can you post a link to what is needed to be purchased from deal extreme or elsewhere. Thanks.

Not true at all. there is only the very odd one of the latest which dont work, but the arm7 fix sorts that out. But yeah, there doesnt seem to be any more updates for them though

Most R4 cards available at the moment are clones. I biught a batch of R4 Advance cards on Volumrate for famiy & friends, all of which were faulty. Took two months to sort out but I did get replacements.

At the moment DSTT cards seem to be the cheapest option and they should work with high capacity microSD cards. DX have them for $9.50 delivered.

DSTT cards seem to operate quicker than any of the R4s I have had previously.

Any link, or seller name? Do you know if they are genuine, and tested to full capacity? (many ebay cards are only half the rated capacity, so only get from good powersellers).

I got a new R4 (have the old version too) with an 8 gig micro SD from Amazon on Friday. Works a treat. 91 games and mp3's all working grand. Tried a few homebrew games too without problems. It's called the R4 III Upgrade.

It's obviously a clone but who gives a sh1t if it works?

Even though it was Amazon it was a crowd called Market Express UK who were selling it. I have got a few R4s and a DSTT for friends over the last few weeks. Good prices and next day delivery. Postage can be a bit high but I think they are reliable sellers so I can live with that.

You'd be mad to get an R4 at this point, the card's firmware isn't being actively updated. More and more, games producers (with good reason) are writing self checking routines into their games, which stop cold on anything just slightly out of date.

The DSTT has matured a lot, if you can avoid a DSTT clone, go for that over the 'R4' any day.

R4 is just a brand at this point, which a lot of folk seem to want to capitalise on ($$$).

Off-topic: My card of choice is the CycloDS Evolution, not cheap though.

Ì believe the R4 and the N5 are the exact same card, the N5 are updating software and I read in a forum somewhere you can use the updated N5 software (But you will have to slightly modify it) on the R4. I will try to find links for it when I get time.

Why is not being updated anymore? I think i read somewhere once that nintendo was suing them. Would that be the reason?
