    Most of the (probably unreliable) information I've read is that the MC-E is better for throw. But it also does a very good flood as well so seems slightly more useful than just the very high flood p7.

    I took the head off my P7 last night to see how it performs as a naked LED.

    It's actually surprising useful this way for high-viz commuting - uniform light output over a forward-facing hemisphere.

    Not sure how it would cope in rain though.
