    AVG Pro????

Do you mean AVG Internet Security v8? (the pay for version)

Then no you do not need Zone Alarm.

Never run more than one firewall.

Because they will conflict with each other & cause all sorts of problems & confusion.

It's a well known rule of thumb, only use one.

Here's a 2 day old issue that was caused by a user installing two Firewalls & that particular conflict was reasonably minor.

    Read Post:

If a Firewall is any good at all it will block what it's supposed to block automatically, or at least request your input. It will also block anything you manually configure it to block.

Not many people build two walls around their gardens, right?

Technically there is no problem installing two or even more firewalls if you know what you are doing.

But for inexperienced, non technical users it tends to be too confusing when opening ports and setting up forwarding rules.

I think it's still running, I just clicked on the link (Wednesday at 11:25 am) and was shown the screen to enter name, e-mail for a download link and free license.

I haven't got the mail from them yet though they said it could take a while.

Same here, but they did stress on the sign up page that due to heavy demand that you could expect to wait up to 48 hours before receiving the download link & key.

I guess they may have got there before the word spread & their servers got overwhelmed?
