    would edinburgh be agood plave to bring the lovely lady(gf)?? Would you like a surprise to be brought for valentines in nice hotel with history,good food, bars etc for weekend of valentines?

    Speaking as someone who lives in Edinburgh, it'd be a nice place to bring someone. Dodgy weather, especially in February and March, but it has a lot to do and see. Food and drink is quite affordable over here too. It's a fairly romantic city really, lovely architecture and history, and also good shopping!

    In general, I think a surprise weekend away is always a safe bet! There's not many women who wouldn't love it.
