Powerlifting Belt

Thinking I'm approaching belt time with my lifts and have been looking around the usual spots online for good value. I've been looking at 3:

    Titan Toro 13mm

    Inzer Forever 13mm

    Elite FTS Power Belt 13mm

I'm leaning towards the Toro. Firstly because I was happy with my last dealings with LiftingLarge.com and secondly because on Nov 27th they're having a web-sale for existing customers.

Question for the powerlifting community here. If I start competing unequipped next year what do I need?

    Lifting singlet?
Are knee wraps & wrist wraps allowed or is it strictly belt only? Hope they're allowed, wrist wraps rule.

Just wanna know what the craic is as with Postage and Packaging I don't want to have to re-order anything.

Belt, singlet and wrist wraps are fine, knee wraps are not.

I <3 my Inzer Forever Lever, but having not used the other ones I can't exactly give a balanced view...

    Cheers G'em.

A quick search tells me yourself and Hanley are using it. Sounds like it does all it needs to.

I'll keep an eye on this sale on liftinglarge.com and see what bargains it throws up but it's hard to look past the Inzer really.

Don't buy the 13mm Inzer lever. It'll break your ribs. Seriously. I've a 13mm Inzer lever and it made mince meat of mine. I now wear my Inzer econo belt which was half the price and still does an amazing job. This one - http://www.inzernet.com/detail_econobelt.asp?PRODUCT_ID=ECON_POWER_BELT Even tho it says it's 13mm, it's no where near as rigid as the lever.

Don't buy from Elite, you'll get raped when it comes to shipping charges. Liftinglarge post by USPS so the shipping cost is minimal, and jsut as quick as the others. Trying to get orders off Inzer is a bit hit and miss at times.

I'll be getting a new belt soon, but can't decide where to get it from either!! I might just take it on the chin and reorder the same belt that I have a size or two up from Inzer.

For the IDFPA unequipped division a belt, singlet and wrist wraps are what the doctor ordered. Anymore is equipped!

I'm gonna order off liftinglarge too when they have their sale on, so let me know what you decide to do and we might be able to team up on shipping and get it cheaper. I might actually order off irongladiators.com instead and get myself a new pair of knee wraps while I'm at it. They seem to be the only place on the web where you can get the Inzer True Black wraps!

Cool yeah I was gonna say if you or anyone else needed anything we could make one bulk order for the shipping.

Interesting on the 13mm ribs issue. Very few 10mm's out there, they're all going for max legal thickness.

That's deadly that the Econo is so good. I thought it might be sub standard for the price.

    Thanks for the feedback lad'n'lass.

My back is actually bruised up really badly from squatting today where my belt was hitting.... A thicker belt woulda snapped a few ribs I reckon!!

Sure I'll talk to ya on Tuesday about it if you'll be around?

I think I'll go for that Inzer myself it looks good. What size should one go for with a 34 inch waist? It's hard to know really without trying them on I guess, but I don't know of anywhere near Clare/Limerick/Galway that stocks good lifting belts.
