If it's the same as this one (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/816726) then it seems quite good value. I found a few reviews when I googled the spec.

Advent aren't a bad make in computer, they don't give too many problems. This machine is well worth the money in my opinion.

I bought one last year and found the battery life to be terrible. It wouldnt last more then 30-40 minutes then went completly.

I had a lot of trouble in finding a replacement battery and eventually got one in the UK after a lot of googling.

The short run time on batteries is largely due to cost cutting on their part, rather than dodgy batteries. A lot of lower price range laptops will suffer from poor battery performance.

Advents are - at least they used to be - rebadges of other brands rather then a manufacture brand, so the quality varies enormously. I got an Advent gaming laptop a few years back for a good price in comparison to other gaming laptops - the ventilation and cooling system were extremely poor resulting in brutal temperatures (almost 100c after gaming sessions), battery life was terrible, the exterior finish chipped off completely after a few months, under totally normal wear and tear conditions. Also used a 12.1" Advent laptop, was ridiculously noisy to the extent that I had to return it because everyone in the library kept looking at me, and battery life was about 50 minutes. So I wouldn't really buy Advent again, going from my personal experiences. I notice that that their new lines look completely different from the previous ones, maybe they've switched manufacturer/supplier/whatever.

Well....I did buy the Advent 4211 but that's just a rebadged MSI Wind. :)
