What is this nerdy word "FAIL" people keep using after posts?
Most of us are feckin Irish on this site and world renownd for our wit. But you have these gob****es thinking ah ha this seems to be a cool word so I will use it and perhaps I may look cool in front of my peers. Get a fecking life, be more creative in your criticism. I know I'm probably leaving myself wide open for jibes but feck it, at least I got my point across.

I kinda agree with ya? I mean I do find the "fail" photos funny, if a little over used, but yes, surely there are better ways to portray a feeling..

I mean the land of saints and scholars should be able to muster up something better than a single dismissive word!

Welcome to the internet my friend. It's not about looking cool, it's about pointing out that the thread or post FAILS to meet the required standards of legibility, sensibilty etc.

and to the rest of you - you are on an internet forum, people will use internet terms and slang, the same as if you go to Cork, or dublin, or london, or Cape Town or Sydney - they will all have terms and slang, colloquialisms.

If you only wish to debate in proper "Queens's English" then I suggest you do your debating and socialising in RL
