How do I get around this?

Well I'm trying to tone up and I'm doing weight training, but I also have to do cardio as well. However I'm still in school and in 6th year and I can only manage to go to the gym Fridays Saturdays and Sundays. But they are the days I do my weight training and I hear its not a good idea to do cardio and weight training on the same day. I hear it will just make my weight training pointless if I do. I'm on protein supplement too so I don't want all that time and money gone to waste. I have a punching bag at home and I am goin to do that twice a week. Would this be a good cardio training source? Anyone got any ideas, I don't know how to get around this?

As far as I know, there's no harm in doing cardio the same day as weights, but you should do your cardio after your weight session. I often do a good bit of cardio after weights.

If your going to the gym on friday, sat and sun doing weights be careful not to overdo it by doing the same muscles two days in a row, or if you do an all-body session then maybe leave a day in between. It all depends on yourself though.

The boxing bag is probably one of the best cardio workouts you can do, much better than running on a threadmill imo. You could go at the bag for 5 min, take a break for a min or so and then another 5 min, and do 4 5 min blocks or something. I usually time myself for ten minutes, take a break and go at it for another ten. Im not into boxing though, I just do it for the fitness.

You could also go running / cycling during the week.

There's no harm doing cardio after weights, but if you are feeling very tired after the weights training you could do the cardio on the off days. Just make sure to leave some rest days in there.

As previously said, no harm in doing cardio after weights.

Perhaps you could do weights friday and sunday and cardio on saturday. Very important though to leave time for recovery.
