    Hi,

I'm having difficulty extending the range of my wireless network using the Sitecom WL-130 Wireless Range Extender. Hopefully someone will be able to help me as I can't see anything I've done wrong.

    This is what I've done
    1. After logging into the WL-130 configuration page I changed the IP address of the extender to be on the same sub-network as my wireless router.
    2. After selecting the repeater option I was then able to search and select my wireless unsecured router.
    3. I checked no security then on the security page.
    4. I then placed it half way in my house between my laptop and the router. There is an excellent signal where the extender is placed. However, there is no improvement whatsoever where I'm situated.
I've changed around some of the positions of the extender and my laptop and I've come to the conclusion that it's not working the way I've it configured at the moment.

Anyone here have any tips, or are all these configured differently? Thanks.

OK, I've got this to work.
The configuration above is fine. What I didn't realize is that I need to connect to the SSID/ESSID of the Repeater as opposed to the Router.
