There is no quality research on either to show that they do anything more than normal black tea. If you want, drink because you like the taste, but don't expect the pounds to drop off. If you do want a tea to help you lose weight, then stick to green tea, or try Yerbe Mate.

Health food shops usually have lots of different teas, and the Asian Market just off Georges Street has pu-erh and oolong far cheaper than other places.

alot of the girls in work are drinking the pu-erh tea, and swear by it. Some of them are looking slimmer alright, but I dont think its down to the tea. The reason I dont think it is is because ive been drinking it a while myself, and no change. Try it if you like, but I dont think it makes much of a difference to be honest

Pu-erh tea is expected to cost you 40€ a box, but robert roberts do a box of it for €4 in tesco. Dont know if there is any difference. They also do oolong tea too. Im sure you can pay 40€ in the health shops for it too if ya like

I drank the pu-erh tea for a long time. I didnt find that it made me lose weight but it definately aids digestion and reduces water retention and bloating. Its good to drink if you're feeling full after a heavy meal. The best place to buy it or any other tea is in the Oriential Emporium on Abbey St. just off Liffey St. in Dublin. Pu-Erh tea is €2.50 per box. Some salons sell the same thing for €20!

Green tea from lidl or aldi will do just the job. Dont waste your time searching out specific pu erh tea or ooh long because marketing will lead you to believe they are superior when the only thing superior is the price.

    That's marketing for you.

    Green tea from lidl
Vanilla Green Tea from Lidl is fabulous!! I found it really helped curb sugar cravings when I was low-carbing, and the aroma from it is very fragrant and calming.

My family hated the vanilla green tea but i thought it was quite nice, had to drink the box myself :D. I agree about the smell it was quite nice and made a nice change from regular green tea at times. For the calming effect its peppermint tea all the way for me

I discovered Chai Green Tea recently and its only fabulous!! Its made by Pukka and I got it in the health shop on South William Street. The spices in it really help switch off the appetite when you have the 3pm munchies :D

I fell for the Pu-erh tea phenomenon when it came out and paid 20euro for a box!!! But I got some much cheaper and nicer from a Dublin based online tea company. It was really nice but honestly had no effect on weight loss.

One can get Pu-erh tea in any Eastern European food shop for 1.50euro!
