Spinning

    Hi

Ive recently started doing spinning classes, but I find that my bum really hurts when Im on that bike.

I have asked the instructor to make sure I have the saddle at the correct height, and she assured me that I had. But its still very uncomfortable.

I have tried sitting on my towel, but it always ends up falling off onto the floor.

Are there some not-so-obviously padded shorts I could get for spinning in?

    thanks

Triathlon shorts have less padding than cycling specific but
if you want more padding wear the cycling ones. Put a pair of football shorts
over them if you are self conscious about the padding. The instructors
for spinning in my gym use a gel saddle cover so I wouldn't worry about
    wanting a bit of comfort.

The easiest thing is to just grin and bear it, its like anything else you will get used to it after a few classes, id say about 5-10. Its like playing the guitar for the first while, your fingers hurt from the strings but after a while they will harden up and so will your bum! I was the same when I first started cycling I used a gel saddle and cycling shorts but over a time you will toughen up. If its getting really bad then try and do some more cycling standing up out of the saddle.

wow your ar** and your bank balance are not healthy looking ;-)

just suffer thru it, as said above if it pains then jump out of the saddle for a short time. It wouldn't be your position on the bike as your back, knees or neck would be hurting you more than you bottom.

it will take a few spinning classes but you should get use to it after many classes.
