I agree that gambling on someones life is sick particularly if they have family but you must also take into consideration that this guy made the choice to take up a position that probably carries more risk than any other job in the world.

He has in particularly a nasty following after him as it is in one of his manifests to abolish the 2nd amendment to bare the right to carry arms. There are a lot of angry gun owners out there.

there have already been a few attempts. although very poorly.

i dont believe it should be this way but presidents have been assinated for other just as stupid reasons.

Lincoln - Killed because Booth wanted to try and restart the civil war. (apparently)
Garfield - Some crazy guy could not get into government somewhere so he thought he would take it out on the president.
McKinley - Didnt know the answer and google didnt return much after a quick search so it must have been pointless and stupid.
John F. Kennedy - Well conspiracy theories aside i have no idea.

While it would be easy to dismiss this as a bit of joke the simple fact is that on an international scale the most hated man in the world, by the kind of people who would happily kill him and be in a position to do so, the President of America is a pretty big target.

And he has teams of people working diligently and planning his ever step to ensure maximum possible safety. The tend to do this incredibly well.

But, every time someone makes a move on an American President it's the lone nut, not the big organisation. It can be hard to deal with such people.
