Basically about 3 years ago I strained my right adductor..my adductor brevis and gracilis i think..

So it healed up and there was a large knot in my leg...was very painful when stretching so I went to the physico and he basically stretched and worked it out..

Since then I have not gone back to martial arts..

Started stretching in the gym last few weeks and I can still feel the knot there and it is agony to stretch my right adductor..

Ill more than likely go back to a physico, but I was wondering if anybody else has had a similar injury that appears to never go away...

    Thanks

I don't like to give advice on injuries but I had a groin injury that lasted for many many months. Like you I went to a physio and had it treated. There's 3 muscles in the groin are that have slightly different functions but it seemed to me that the physio had no clear way of knowing which muscle was injured.

I found the treatment didn't really help. The only thing that finally worked for me was rest - and I mean several months. Then gentle progressive stretching and then slow strength build up. I'm perfect now.
