LittleBigPlanet in stores early (not so delayed?)

I was in GameStop in St.Stephen's Green today and they had lots of copies of LittleBigPlanet in stock. You even get the Kratos game pack when you buy it (no pre-order required). I would have bought it then and there but I pre-ordered from Play.com to get the Nariko sackgirl.

Figured those who couldn't wait any longer would want to know this. Don't know yet if this is a countrywide thing or not.

And if you can't wait but don't want to buy it, you can try it in the pavillions, swords. Its brilliant. I got to play for 40 minutes until I got moved along.

Are you sure the boxes were not display ones as I have it preordered in Gamestop and they usually text when a game is in stock.

Most definately. They even have little crappy printed signs that say 'LittleBigPlanet now in stock'.

I can confirm Stephens Green Gamestop were selling them yesterday. I rang them up today, they're not selling it anymore . They were given out to by HQ for selling it, so they've to wait to Wednesday before they can sell it again.

I heard Sony ordered it be pulled as most shops don't have their stock yet, it may just turn out to be either the best game ever made or just the first Turkey of this years Christmas Rush.

I was lucky enough to be part of the beta and I have to say this is definitely one of the best console games I've had the opportunity to play. As long as the community stays strong, this game will last forever...

I will buy it as I got the chance to play it last week in Blanchardstown centre and it is class but so was Beyond Good and Evil,lets hope it does get what it deserves or at least out sells Gears of Bore 2.

It actually gets worse when you've actually played, sitting in work is even more frustrating as you're counting down the minutes until you can play it again because you've just figured out how to make a new contraption or had a new idea for a level. Expect to have post-it notes with little idea sketches all over your desk within the next few days!

Well its all ready covered in little drawings of far cry levels. I think this game could ruin my life well the social side of it anyway

Only your real life social life, I added about 5 or 6 people to my friends list on firday night alone from LBP, just jumped into games with people. Half the time you just end up hanging out in levels, slapping each other and running around trying to paste stickers on each other. There's a couple of people that I usually just jump straight into a game with now on it. Even without mics it's quite easy to communicate with each other with the facial expressions and stuff.

Yes the games are region free:

uropean (inc. Irish) PS3s will play:

All Playstation 3 games (inc. US/Japanese/Asian games)
PAL Playstation 2 games (IF your system is backwards compatible)
PAL Playstation 1 games
Region B (Europe/Africa) and multi-region Blu Ray movies
Region 2 (PAL), 4 and 0 DVDs

Pre-orderd it from videogamesplus 2weeks ago, arrived yesterday morning. €43 delivered.

BTW the Kratos costume and other DLC wont be activated till tomorrow or Thursday, just incase anyone thought it wasn't working.

PLAY.com has Nariko from Heavenly Sword. The Official UK Playstation Magazine had Kratos.

As for their availability, I actually don't know, but it would be a bit annoying if after I went out of my way to get both, then they would be available to everyone anyway... actually no, I don't really care either way.

Just got my copy a few minutes ago :D:D

It's a bit surreal having it now after such an agonising wait. Picked it up in Game on Dawson St., it scans in at €69.99 for some reason but they edit it so you pay €54.99. If anyone was considering getting it in HMV on Grafton St. I popped today at half 8 (first person in lol, a bit eager) and they said they were only getting them in around mid afternoon if you can manage to wait that long.

Now to wait until 4 when I get off college to get home and play it, although I'm actually getting an erection just reading the manual :pac:

Just be a little bit carefull over being too excited & then first immpressions i was bursting to play this got home and put it on and the first 2 groups of levels are learning levels and are not great and i got quite upset about how under-welmed i was with it, but once you get through them it all changes it just gets better and better the sound track may as well be my mp3 player The Go Team, Jim Noir brilliant. And i havent even gone near the make your level or online play yet !

But one thing ive noticed is im a little sack boy why do i only keeping getting dresses !! ive only 1 pair of pants and ive to run around with my shirt off in a crash helmet

I think online is mostly downloading other people's levels. I think they're adding co-op online creation in a patch later, not sure tho.

Afaik you can jump into levels with random people when you go to start a level it says play one your own or play online, im hoping thats how it will work coz ive no ps3 friends with LBP

They seem to be the most expensive 90% of the time.. bar the time they were selling the Rock Band Drums for €80 (which was cheapest at the time if i remember correctly)... though Smyth's reduced their price from €105 - €80 once they found out Gamestop were selling it for that.

Gamestop are the worst for price and trade in ive found i was given a 100 euro voucher for there and cant bring myself to hand over 70 of it for a game that i can get for much less. I got fallout for 35 FGS .

Mine arrived in the post from Gamesnash yesterday morning, so +1 for them.

I assume all copies will be the same, so be advised that you will need to do an update (v.1.03).

The time it takes to update is going to seem like an eternity for anyone itching to play it.

Once you complete the 'Garden' levels you will be presented with more options, like creating.

Anyone know yet if the Japanese store outfits work on the EU LBP?? Sackboy was running around in red boxers and a helmet last night.....
