I am looking for a good protein shake that will allow me to put on maximum weight as quickly as possible.I would ideally like to bulk up in order to improve my presnence on the pitch.Which would be the best to use along with a staple diet.

    Regards

I'd heartily recommend adding to your staple diet before adding supplements.

    How much do you eat?

What do you actually eat, what's a typical day of eating like?

And state your calorie intake or at least the weights of your foods. If you are eating "big bowls", or a "ham sandwich", then nobody will have any idea how much you really eat, how long is a piece of string? I see lads in work eat ~1200kcal sandwiches, others are ~250kcal.

If you have no idea how much you are eating calorie wise, then that is probably your main problem. You could eat 15meals a day and still be eating way too little.

2 very easy foods to get calories intake increased are whole milk & nuts.

The majority of people with "metabolism problems" (fast or slow), really just have portion size problems.

    tbh.

Supplements are simply food in powder form. Food however will have more nutrients and vitamins with less processing.

Supplements are just another word for food. Most mass gainers are just protein powder mixed with sugar. Whey protein powder is just another dairy product.

If you ate 100g of nuts you will get another 550-600kcal in your diet, and drink 1L of whole milk which is ~640kcal.

That is an easy 1250kcal extra per day for people who do not eat much or have a big appetite.

Natural peanut butter (get 1kg in holland & barret for ~€6) on wholemeal bread is another easy way to pack in calories. And a better and nicer way to do it than eating overpriced tubs of sugar & powders.

Get a digital scales in argos to calculate your portion sizes. Estimate your calorie needs using this http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=50956807&postcount=4

You have not mentioned training either, I hope you do not just want to put on fat! check out this site www.exrx.net

You can always put on more weight. If you want to bulk, then take what you think is a huge amount of food, more than you think you can manage, and add 2 litres of milk to that. Then see if you don't put on weight.

If you aren't putting on weight it's because you eat too little. It's really not complicated.

Just eat and eat, mate. I was always skinny and I'm about to nearly hit 15 and a half stone for the first time ever. Don't go trying to count calories, and most of those calorie calculators never seem to work for me. They saying I should eat 4000-4500 cals a day to gain 1-2lbs a week, etc but that never seems to work out. You need to eat until you burst, 6-8 meals a day. And some people will not agree with me, but I think weight gainers are a necessity. I have 3 a day and that gives me nearly 2000cals extra that I really need.

I recommend nitrition x mass x - but you could also order from bulkpowders.co.uk
