He's playing the 3rd of December in UCD and the 4th in Spy. Can't wait, will be my third time seeing him and I'm sure it'll be as good as the first two :)

Looking forward to seeing him at ilovetechno, didn't go to see him at 0xegen this year for some reason, can't remember why not really. I did hear from my buddy that he wasn't amazing at some gig in Dublin. We'll see.

His tunes are deadly though :pac:

It's on his MySpace and Spy's website.

I saw him before and really didn't think he was all that, though I remember him sounding pretty good on Myspace, is he just bad live or something?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 118 ✭✭Oshare Bones

Theres posters up in spy advertising this.

Piste where did you see him. Maybe it was just the sound system there? There will be no problems this time as Spy have the most r0x0rin setup in Dublin

BTW he's not playing UCD, they booked him for the week before exams when no one is in college, so it ain't on now. Still on in Spy though

You sure? There were gigs on last year around this time? Still up on the UCD site etc

The gig that was going to be in UCD is now on in Andrew's Lane Theatre to the best of my knowledge. So it's ALT on the Wednesday and Spy on the Thursday.

    Cheers,

    Phil

over half of the tickets are now sold for boys noize at spy, if your going, get them asap!

    massive interest in this show

I don't understand why spy bar hosts this kind of artists... I went to see Dr Lektroluv there, and even though I liked his set, I had never in my life seen such an inappropriate venue. There were no lights, the room was way too small it was impossible to access the toilets. Simply incredible.

What saddens me the most is that they do host a lot of good djs. Why??

It really pisses me of, please let these people play in a decent venue (button factory or pod would be a bit better, but their line up is usually quite bad).

Spy bar, please stick to what you are... a bar! Host some local dj's that attract a reasonable amount of people but stop thinking you're the fabric for christ sake.

Better than not seeing them at all?!

I had a great time at lektroluv, even if it was crowded in the main room, you could hear it fine in the room beside it aswell.. I think it would be a better venue if they broke that wall down tho.

donegalgirl28 not sure about the ALT gig, his myspace says the UCD gig is still goin ahead.

Well I guess that it's better than not seeing them at all. It's quite surprising though to not see bigger clubs book these guys, considering the massive interest they generate.

I guess I should give some respect to the organiser at Spy who's intelligent enough to book them and convince them to come.

A big thumbs down to the management for not being able to invest in some decent lights (it's like being in a house party for teenagers in there), air conditioning and other basic features any decent club should have.

That's what I've been told, I'm just not 100% because I can't see tickets on sale anywhere online except for Spy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,080 ✭✭✭✭Tusky

Would love to see him again but Spy is such a horrendous venue. I promised myself I would never spend money on tickets for gigs held in Spy. Tiny, cramped and amazing hot and sweaty. I had to leave every 10 minutes for some air the last time.

There's no way with 10 days to go that he's playing in ALT, tickets would've been on sale a good while now.

I'm in Trinity and I saw posters up advertising Boys Noize. I just said Coming soon... Dec 3rd. No ticket or venue info.

If I was to speculate, the Vengaboys played a Trinity ents night last week in the Button Factory. It's not unthinkable that they'd use the same venue again.

I'm gonna have a look in Trinity tomorrow. Shall pop into the Student Union office to see if they've any more info. Would have figured the DAS in Trinity would have let us know like?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 684 ✭✭✭donegalgirl28

Got the weekly email from TCD there,
Coming up next week is /_*Boys Noize*_/!!! look out for posters!!

Also the TCD student with the most sigs on a teeshirt wins a free ticket to the gig. So looks like it's a TCD night. Reckon it'll be on in the Button Factory then. Noice.

Sounds like we're getting somewhere at least, still seems a bit late for tickets sales and that, just hope it gets finalised soon.

This seems to be a theatre show and would be over by 10- 10.30. Doors for Boys Noize open at 11pm. On sale from the Trinity students union shop just inside the main gate on the left.
