Just a quick question on this product

I have just bought a tub of this and been using it three times a day as instructed.I take it in the morning when i get home from work at at around 9 o'clock at night. But i usually go to the gym after work three times a week and am not using this directly before or after.

Would this have any effect on how it works or will it work the same as long as i take it three times a day?

Take it in the morning, and on your workout days, take it directly AFTER your workout. Then a late shake if you want too.

Hows the rest of your diet looking? Shakes alone will not a huge man make.

I usually have 3 weetabix for breakfast, then at half 12 have lunch which usually consists of a slice of brown bread,1 meat dish,2 types of veg, chips or boiled or mashed potatoes, coleslaw and a bolied egg and then a desert.

then ususally have some plain pasta with some sauce when i get home and then my mam cooks dinner again at about 8 o'clock

been eating like this for the last year and still only way around 10 and a half stone and i hadnt been doing any exercise at all.But i joined the gym in work so gonna start taking the whey protein and hitting the weights and hopefully i'll see some effect.

Best of luck with your training, Im sure you'll notice a difference if you have not been training at all until now.

But you should substantially increase the amount of protein you get from real food before you start relying on shakes. Doesnt seem to be alot in your current diet. Eggs, chicken, fish, meat, milk etc!

eat as much as possible in the few hours after working out.....

focus on compound lifts eg dont spend all ur time doin bicep curls most of ur
time should be spent doing Chin ups, bench pressing, squats, deadlifts ul get the most results from these

make sure there is protein in every meal

big breakfast is key as well as ur bodies been starved for however long uv been asleep

some good websites to read up on for more info

i've read this 3 x a day advice around a lot too... and unfortunately i used to follow it! but if you don't know how much protein you are getting in your regular diet how can you or anyone advise you how much you need to supplement...

best advice i ever got was to do a food / nutrition diary over a period of time and then analyse it together with the timing and volume of exercise you perform... then, and only then was i truely able to work out how much protein (and everything else) i was getting, alter my food intake and then determine appropriate supplementation... until you do some assessment on your diet and exercise routine you're shaking in the dark...

Spread you protein across 6 servings, if possible :-) There is only so much your body can ingest.

Look for circa 1gram for every pound of bodyweight. Is important to give your muscles protein directly after training as this is when you need it most!!

Whey protein is absorbed into your muscles quickly so is a good option after training. Dont overlook casein though. It is a slow releasing protein so is great for night time. It basically drip feeds your muscles with protein slowly.

Supplements are what they are, that is to supplement your normal food intake. You cant beat real food, and hard training of course :-)

Forgot to say, Big whey is a great product!!
