If weight training and wanting to build up muscle is it a stupid idea for me to use steam room and sauna after gym. Any ideas?

Tbh, I don't see the point in sauna's. After a good workout, you'd be better off warming down/stretching and then getting a good post workout snack and/or shake. Sauna makes you sweat, can't see it's benefits to building muscle. Also, means you have to spend even more time in your respective gym/leisure centre.

Can't imagine they do a whole lot for muscle building or definition, but it certainly is a great way to clean out your skin and pours after working out, as well as relaxing and loosing weight. I think they're wonderful and unlike eroo, enjoy spending 15mins or so at the end of the workout rewarding myself with a relaxing stint in the sauna & jacuzzi.
