Replace the 'Thank You' with an 'Yore ma' option. Sorted

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,597 ✭✭✭anniehoo

Its a multi use button to say "that was gas" "agree with ya there" "that was good advice ye gave" kind of thing..it covers a multitude of compliments.

Personally id prefer more smilies that do all of the above! Already asked awhile back ...so i wont beg
    ;)

    Same thread as yestersday .
Have you seen the old man in the closed down market? Kicking up the papers with his worn out shoes. In his eyes you see no pride, hands held loosely by his side. Yesterdays papers telling yesterdays news.

There is an option to remove the thanks button from a posters posts. I think you should have yours removed. See how cool your burd thinks you are then!

After this OP I actually wish there was a 'knob' button. In the shape of a doorknob so as not to offend

It is used mostly to prevent having threads full of "+1" type comments.

I'd say this post by amp holds the record and I doubt will ever be beaten.

People are worried that they're not being thanked enough, and therefore fishing for thanks.

It's the boards equivalent of a good looking girl moaning about being ugly, just to have any male within earshot pay them a compliment.

Are you gonna suggest grandparents next? Or perhaps you should just come up with a new way to insult people.

There's no need to thank me.

Fridges are well known for short to medium term storage of useless data. They're being slowly phased out though - as are other magnetic based media such as floppies...

I think it was Zillah that said this before... I quite liked it and find it quite appropriate for this here thread.

"I've thanked every funny post in this thread."

Whatever about thanking someone in a post, I think anyone who posts "in before the lock" is a complete dickhead.

There absolutely positively has to be a thumbs down button, and soon.

How many posters stick up a really, reaaally feeble "yore ma" and it is so pathetically unfunny you want to cry, but...

As some other gobshite thinks its funny, usually the same people again and again, they hit the thumbs up, OP sees only thumbs up, and thinks he has done well, and does it again.

Now if mr. crap yore ma joke saw 15 thumbs down you suxxorz on the bottom of his post, he might realise what a spa he is being.

Better yet, a  button at the bottom of a post, to express  without needing to post.

The amount of truly shit jokes in this place lately derailing threads is crazy.

Cue yore ma  bad pun etc....
