    As the title says really,

Would a particular Actor/Actress stop you from going to see a film? For me a number of actors would have my interest in seeing a film Christan Bale naming one.

To pick mine I never got into the Office so Ricky Gervias wouldn't really appeal to me.

Renee Zellweger. The bitch stopped my mate from getting to direct his first feature. Now the site of her fills me with rage. Well not so much rage, more of an mildly aggitated malaise.

How's that budd? I'm not a fan of her either.

Must say that the waynes brothers is an inspired choice. Hate them!!

I think tom Cruise is a bit harsh even though he's a twat he has done some excelent films same with Will Smith to a lesser extent.

Nobody would really stop me seeing a film but someone who is increasingly starting to annoy me is Tilda Swinton.

She's clearly a very talented actress but just the look of her pisses me off.

Having said that she often plays bitchy/cold characters so maybe Im supposed to feel that way towards her:D

    Paul Walker.

Any music industry produced "artist" popping up for a cameo (the likes of Usher, Justin Timberlake in Alpha dog, etc.)

    Tom Hanks.

I always end up watching his moves "eventually" but very rarely in the cinema, i just cant stand the look of the guy.

Jay-lo is getting put on that list. her last 3 (if not more), rubbish.

no one else I'd purposefully avoid.

    Drew fucking Barrymore

I'd rather go to a pool party at Michael's than one of her films.

Can't stand her either. She nearly ruined Appaloosa for me, the horse aceted her off screen everytime they shared a scene.

I don't think they'd completely put me off, but it would lower the movie in my priorities of whether and when I'd see it. Generally any of those Ken doll looking actors:

    i.e.

    Paul Walker
    James Marsden
    Rob Lowe
    Chris Pine

All of them just seem too smarmy to me.

Yeah, the head on him...though it might be just because of Ross that I hate him.
These two would put me off big time:

    Steve Carell- can't stand him.

Nicholas Cage and his rubber face.

Any one of the Baldwins, though Alec's cameo in Will & Grace tipped the balance slightly from sleazy to kinda-coolin-a-culty-kinda-way :)

Some of the films that people would miss out on if they were to actually avoid the actors they mentioned would include:

    Magnolia
Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind
    Requiem for a Dream
    Adaptation
    Chicago
    The Wedding Singer
    Glengarry Glen Ross
    School of Rock

I love all those films! :)

Julia Roberts... I just can't place what it is. Possibly her abominable attempts at the Irish accent in Michael Collins and Mary Reilly. Possibly the ridiculous hype surrounding her in the earlier part of her career... I'm not sure.

David Schwimmer is one I can't stand as well.
Does that include behind the camera? He seems to be leaving acting for directing. Still better than Matt LeBlanc or Matthew Perry, however. I wish Lisa Kudrow would do more acting, I thought she was excellent in The Opposite Of Sex.

    One word: Madonna.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Irish actors actually seem to be pretty good at pulling off pretty much any accent. It's the Americans that simply cannot do Irish/English/Scottish as far as I'm concerned.

Colin Farrell - and no I'm not a fan - is brilliant at accents. Maybe he just has a good voice coach.

No actor would put me off going to see a film. Only the premise of the film, and even on that I've been wrong. Just watched Lars and the real girl last night, and was impressed with Ryan Goslings ability. I never would have had any interest in Heath Ledger, only to see his master class in The Dark Knight. So I watched Brokeback Mountain - not a film that ever would have interested me - and he was brilliant.

I hate that smug guy who loves himself.

    He went to jail
    He is in Air America
    Natural Born Killers
    Tropic Thunder

I hate him and I want him to die and go to hell

I used to avoid films with Keira Knightly in them but I actually liked Atonement despite her so I would weigh up how much the film attracted me versus my dislike of her when deciding whether or not to go to see it.

However, I absolutely refuse to endure any film with either Adam Sandler or Ben Stiller in it - I don't care what the film is about.

Rob Schneider - no explanation required.

Sarah Michelle Gellar - she just irritates me

    Keanu Reeves - a retard

Ben Affleck - stay behind the camera please, that what you are good at.

The Hoff - seriously, jokes aside, the man sucks.

    Robert Downey Jr.?

He was outstanding in Tropic Thunder, his impression was spot on and one of the best comedic performances I have ever seen.

Natural Born Killers was **** anyway.
Also a 1990 film with him and Mel Gibson has to be **** anyway. Its the law.

    Tom Hanks
    Tom Cruise
    Juliette Lewis
    Jim Carrey

I would be hesitant to see any film with these people in it .... but it would really depend on the film - after all eternal sunshine was great and jim carrey was really watchable, also the road to perdition had a pretty watchable understated tom hanks.

and juliette lewis just makes my skin crawl .... that voice .... jeebus.
