Do you own something you would take a risk for?

There's a fire , family and pets are safe.
What if anything do you own that would make you go in to save it?
To get things started it would be my Wrestling DVDs.
But what possession of yours would cause you to go back in?

Perhaps I would waste valuable seconds getting my old diaries out from under the bed

A little brown jug my Gran gave me the day of my First Holy Communion (many years ago), she told me that she had gotten it from her Godmother (she was my Godmother too) on the day of her First Holy Communion (worthless, but priceless) :)

Well I have a few hard drives and DVDs of pictures and letters in a fire safe but that won't last forever in a fire either. I'd be out with the shuttle in hand. :)

I'd grab the guitar and marshmallows. May as well enjoy watching the house burn to the ground.

Hard drive (hey if my house burnt down I'll need the pron collection to amuse myself) and photo albums that I never got around to scanning. Phone too if its not in my pocket.

Me and my wife have one of those metal filing boxes that we keep full of various things that are important to us and we would take a risk to rescue it if the house started to burn.

It contains the usual personal documents such as spare passports (we both have dual nationality), bank docs, insurance docs etc. More importantly it also contains lots of personal mementos such as photos of dead relatives and old family letters. Legal documents can be replaced, old personal mementos can't.

Why not just get a fire safe? That's what I do, so I can take my time when escaping, knowing my old comics, my work and my porn are all safe.

    Nothing of real value
Everything can be bought again once everyone is safe

But I would have smug smile on my face as I just increased my house insurance
    - Id probably be flicking through kitchen catalogues on the front lawn going 'ohhhh i like that one with the shiney things....'
