    Hi

I have started pilates classes last week. Im also a member of the gym which I use for cardio and weights. As my pilates class is once a week I would like to keep practicing and improving my flexibility. Can anyone recommend a good dvd so I can practice from home too?

    Thanks :)

Did you ever find a good dvd?

Like yourself I'm taking a class but would love a dvd to work with at home.

I'm a pilates instructor and while there is no one DVD that I subscribe to I've found some really good clips of individual matwork exercises from youtube.

    Go to:
    http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=expertvillage&view=videos

in the search box put in 'pilates matwork' the videos on the individual exercises are excellent.

Basically you will get to know the exercises that your own instructor teaches in their classes and then you can practice them at home.

    Enjoy

Does anyone know whether its ok to just use a pilates DVD and not do any classes as I have a young baby and would be hard for me to get a regular sitter, like would it still do the same job even though I wouldn't have a instructor?
