I'm really looking forward to it. I'm hoping the co-op gameplay is as good as they claim. To be honest, I've not read a lot about the game, so there's no chance of me being disappointed with it. :D

the Co-op sounds great so i hope they dont mess it up. i havent read a lot on it as well but what i have heard about sounds really good.

Actually get to play this tonight.. thanks to my.. connections

I've been watching it the last few weeks and am tempted to buy it! So ill have a go tonight and if I like it ill buy it. If not I guess I wont.. I'm all for the co-op as well but that wont be shipped with the actual game.. We have to wait longer for that.

Ill let you know what its all like or do you want to wait?

The co-op isn't going to be on the disc now, it's gonna be dlc after a while for some reason (teething trouble?)

Getting it too, have it pre-ordered from Play, probably wont be here for friday...

Looking forward to the co-op too...and the guns...and destroying a whole town for that evil achievement...

May get this depending on reviews. I'm wary that the combat with not be engaging enough. It sounds a little shallow from what I've read.

Prove me wrong kids, prove me wrong.

Well it did just get full marks from Eurogamer and that's (usually) a good sign.

should be able to get a go of it tomorrow. it better not be another game that was said to do this, that and the other but ends up not doing a thing

I've never played Fable before so I don't know what to expect but from what i've seen, it looks good. The Co-Op is one of the reasons i'm buying it so hoping it's good. :)

the only bad thing is the online co op will not be shipped with the game, it will have to be downloaded later on

This won't be on the disc, but will be available as a Title Update on the day of release - so basically if you're connecting to live on release day, it will patch itself to add the online co-op.

    definie "anything"?

you can only do waht the game allows you to at the end of the day, so you can do anything within the actual rules, but you cant do whatever you want, no, thatd be pretty much impossible

you can have the family yes
not sure about killing important characters, you cant kill any of the non playable characters i tried to kill anyway
i assume you can go around sewing your wild seeds too, its easy to make the women want a bit of love, but ive not actually bothered figuring out the marriage/affair angle of it so far

you can also buy property and rent it out to make money
completely ignore the quests and go exploring
    take jobs to make money

    and lots more

Had absolutely no interest in getting this until this evening. Had the first one and thought it was good but I was never really too bothered about getting this because there are so many great games coming out and I just don't have the time to play that much anymore. I hadn't read anything about it at all until I read the review on Eurogamer and it sounds brilliant.

What a week. Far Cry 2, Dead Space, Fable 2. I haven't even got to play Fifa or Saints Row 2 yet.

Think I'll have to trade in my Wii! I knew it had a use!:p

Was thinking of importing this as its region free and the asian version is dirt cheap. When it says English is available does that mean its the full english version or just subtitles or something? Unlike most RPG's Fable would only work with regional English accents.

He'll be handy for the co-op achievements as the fiance doesn't have the foggiest! :)

I have it and its one of the best 360 games out. Really cool graphics and story telling. The pet dog is cool too, helps you out loads. Co op is a bit odd. The second player can only really follow player 1 about and can't open chests etc. Handy for fighting. Magic looks really cool to and theres lots off it. Its going to get 9 out of 10 at least when it comes to reviews.

2 things I remember from fable were that it was very linear and the rpg element seemed secondary, i thought it was much more am action adventure than a true RPG. Is this the same?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 512 ✭✭✭ROC1977

Ya thats a good point. There is a lot of combat in it. But not to linear, I mean you'll have to travel to one town to find a person to get a map, and then head to another town to find something else before you can enter the cave. Sort of thing. None of above is written to spoil anything for anyone. In case you wondering why theres a lack of details. But its linear in the way that its hard to get lost or not know what to do next. As there is a trial of sort of stardust leading the way all the time. It reminds me alot of Zelda games more than your final fantasy games. I played co op with my seven year old and shes even got her own single play game going where she's got quite far. But I'd call myself an advanced gamer and not that its easy but I don't think you'll ever really find yourself stuck wondering what to do in a hurry. Even the mini games where you have to get jobs for cash are fun to keep you amused while trying to make enough gold to get a new gun or axe etc. More I talk about it the more I wish I wasn't at work on nights so can play it!!!

    absolutely

yeah, I'm not the biggest RPG fan. Like final fantasy to me is the biggest pile of over hyped rubbish I've ever played.
Lots of real time fighting and action in this game. Fallout 3 is more RPG than Fable 2 if you ask me.

Thats good to hear, I might actually buy it then. I totally agree about Final Fantasy btw. Thats actually why I was asking about this game cos I remember when FF VII came out and everyone was saying it was the best game ever, went out and bought it and thought it was complete rubbish.

Has anyone heard of any consequences for cheating in the pub games?

Leaving myself open to abuse but Genuine Question...How do you have s*x with your wife....in Fable 2 of course.

I just married some bird and it says she wants to have s*x but I don't have an option. - Tried bringing her upstairs, flirting, akijng off my robes (oooo Matron..)

    Any help?

I'm of the same opinion, because I hate turn based combat mostly, it should be taken out and shot in the face. lots.

Damn it, just ordered this for myself now, can see myself getting absolutely nothing done over the next few weeks/months (tis region free if you all didn't already know...)
Can you choose different types of dog in this, or is there just the one?
